Yvo's POV

I couldnt sleep. Not with the soft scent of honey-suckle tickling my senses, a constant reminder of the woman occupying my companion seat. Buti na lang nakatulog ito. She'd read for a while and i heard her laughter that seems like a musical sound to me. I glanced at the book, wondering again what she found so amusing.

Naginit ako at humikab.

When I got back, i stood looking down on Graciela. She sat half-turned toward me, a hand tucked under her cheek, so young, so sweet, so lovely. She shifted in her sleep and a pretty pink tongue swept over bare lips leaving them damp and as inviting as the smudge of chocolate above the corner of her mouth.

Fatigue must be getting on me because I wanted to lick her, first to eat the chocolate and next to taste her lips, to sink inside and share the treat with her.

What on earth am I thinking?

I rubbed my eyes. Pull it together, man.

Okay, so she had been a great help prepping for the upcoming meeting, totally unpredictable and distressingly, unafraid of anything.

The woman made friends wherever she went.I smiled on that thought.

I closed my eyes and hoped by the time i got home, the european deal sealed and nothing more.

No any other baggages.

The plane suddenly shook and then dropped, startling me out of a light doze. Instinctively, i grabbed the armrest before even opened my eyes.

I intertwined our fingers together. Another shake, a lift and then a sharp drop. Someone screamed and Graciela came awake with a start.

"Anong nangyari?" takang tanong niya.

"Just a little turbulence." sagot ko.Trying to be calm so she wont get nervous.

"So hindi ako nananaginip ng may marinig akong sumigaw?"mahinang sabi niya.

"Ladies and Gentlemen." a calm voice came over the public announcement system. "We are experiencing some heavy turbulence and the pilot has turned on the seat belt light. Please remain buckled in your seats until he turns off the seat belt light. Thank you."

"Are we going to be okay?"

I lied. I think thats the only way to lessen her stress.

"Talaga?"tanong niya.

"Yes," i said reassuringly

"Oh my god." she exclaimed. We were thrown back in our seats as the aircraft dipped and swayed.

"It shouldnt last long." i sought to relieve her distress.

She fell silent as the plane continued to rock and roll. And I watched her to make sure she didnt hyperventilate.

I saw Graciela being distressed all over again. Acting on impulse,I lifted the armrest between us, i pulled her into my arms.

She clung to me and lifting tearful eyes to me, pleaded, "Cant you make it stop?"

God, I'd give anything to fix it.

I couldnt stop the turbulence, but perhaps i could take her mind off it.

And then I saw that chocolate smudge above her mouth. "May chocolate sa mukha mo." sabi ko.

Kumurap ito. "Ano?"

"Right here." I lowered my head and licked the corner of her mouth, sweeping the chocolate up with a flick of my tongue.
