Chapter 28

Havens P.O.V

"I'm sorry." I ran past Luke.

"Haven wait!"

"No!" I turned around.

"You've done enough already." I ran down the dock.

"Connor please." I gasped.

He pushed open the gate and ran into the hotel.

I followed him.

We were finally forced into the same elevator.

"Conn-"

"No, you've made your choice, I see one of us loved each other more." He was crying.

"Connor let me explain."

"What is there to expl-"

"YOU WERENT THERE!!"

"I saw what needed to be seen. That's all I need to know."

"No it's not Connor, he kissed me. He asked me if there was any chance with him."

"And? You said maybe that's why he kissed you."

"I never got to answer!"

"So you hesitated."

"No! I didn't want to break his heart! I didn't want to just leave him there!"

"So you kissed him?"

"No! He kissed me! I did nothing Connor I would never hurt you!"

"Well it's too late, you don't have to break his heart. I'm done."

The door opened and he stormed out. I was too stunned to even move.

I crouched into the corner and cried.

Yes, I cried in an elevator.

Judge me.

Connors P.O.V

That's it Connor.

You've ended it.

There is nothing left.

It's done.

I walked into my room and plopped onto my bed.

I try to do something romantic, and I get my heart broken.

That's why I hate falling in love.

Everything that falls gets broken.

It's called gravity.

And it only brings you down.

"Dude what's wrong?" Ricky asked.

"Haven..."

"Oh con no." Ricky sat on my bed.

"Luke kissed her."

"I'm sure there is an explanation."

"Yeah... He asked her if there was a chance for a 'them' and she never replied."

"Can you just talk to her? Listen? You need to stop jumping to conclusions Connor I'm sure she wouldn't just cheat on you." Ricky said.

"I'm done, I'm through with getting my heart broken. I think I'll call Bethany." I said.

"No. Your calling haven and sorting this out."

"I know what she is going to-"

"No you don't, she's probably as hurt as you are because you didn't give her a chance to explain. Let her talk. You weren't there Connor."
