Harley's POV
I scanned the room for familiar faces, smiling ear to ear when I landed sights on one of my favorite people!
"There's my Harles!" Eddie giggled as he hugged me. "How have you been?"
"Good, busy." I said as I leaned on the bar. "You?"
"Same, I'm recording a lot lately." He replied.
Eddie, along with many of the others, started to work for Machinina when they got out of college. It's actually taking them to some pretty awesome places.
He and I sat and began to catch up, while Jade wondered off. I'd be curious to know where he drifted to.
Jade's POV
"Those cigarettes are going to be the death of you." I told my cousin as we stood out in the parking lot.
Of course, I don't smoke anymore, but he still does. Seamus is so stubborn about it, too!
"Oh, save me the lecture." He bitched as the backdoor of the hotel swung open.
Taylor sighed, looked at both of us. "Give me one of those."
"Tay, since when did you start smoking?" I asked in utter shock.
"Since Aleks start drinking." She snit, lighting up. "He's become a real prick."
"I've heard." Seamus muttered.
"I haven't." I said. "Actually, I don't know anything anymore. The four of us became a little distant."
Taylor looked me up and down, then pulled the cigarette out of her mouth. "Yeah, well, you've been too busy staying on your high horse. Let me give you the run down; Arianna's a walking anxiety attack, however she did end up a voice actress, like she always dreamed. Kevin's been chasing behind her, trying to pick up the pieces he didn't know he broke. Jet's been too busy with work to give James the time of day, so he sits at home working constantly. I swear he's married to his dog. Eddie... Well, nothing is ever wrong with him. He's got the fairytale life, the bastard. Hordan ended up married, the others are relatively happy, and like I said, Aleks has a drinking problem, I have a smoking problem, but I did end up an author, so yay me. Oh, yeah, and Seamus and Ashley are back to being a light switch relationship."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Seamus asked, obviously offended.
"You're on again, off again." She responded. "Jade, care to share your life with us?"
My eyes widened, when I realized how well I had it made. I actually felt bad admitting it, because everyone else was so fucked up.
"Well, you probably know, our band got pretty successful. Harley and I are happy, though we have our fights. NJ and Ryder are... having growing pains, but nothing they can't get through. Otherwise, we're good." I painfully admitted.
"Uh... I, uh, I see." Taylor stammered. "I'm going to head back inside."
She pushed the door open, leaving an awkward silence. I looked at Seamus, then quietly walked past, back inside.
As I scanned the room for my beautiful wife, I set sights on her, happily talking to Eddie. At least she's having a good time!
"Hey, Babe." I smiled as I walked up to her, kissing her cheek.
"Hey, how's the night going so far?" She asked, that gleam in her eyes that she knew before she asked.
"I'm sure, yours is going better." I muttered, then turned to Eddie. "Hey, man, I haven't seen you in a while!"
"No kidding!" He responded. "You two never come visit!"
Harley laughed. "Eddie and I were just discussing recording a song together."
"That'd be awesome! Considering us guys can't sing worth a shit." I joked.
"Oh, stop! You can sing!" Harley said as she playfully hit my arm. "I'm going to go freshen up before they serve dinner."
"Alright, love." I replied as I stole a kiss from her.
Harley's POV
I walked into the bathroom, stopping at the mirror to reapply my eyeliner and freshen my powder. As I was doing so, I heard a screechy voice from around the corner, one I know too well; Tiffany. God, even ten years later, I can't stand that bitch.
She came walking around the corner just as I finished up. Her sentence stopped midway when she saw me.
"Oh, Harley." She snit. "Been a while."
I smiled, confidently replying, "It sure has. How have you been?"
Honestly, I had to hold back my laughter. She had an obvious boob job, face lift, and Botox. Sad, considering she's my age, and not to sound arrogant, but I look ten times better!
"Good, I'm my own boss now, it's nice. How 'bout you?"
Her own boss? What, is she a prostitute now?
"I play in a band now. Ever heard of The Hatchet Gamble?" I asked.
"Can't say that I have."
"Well, our last album just went platinum. I'm also doing a side project with a self harm awareness campaign, and I'm a spokeswoman for Mariska Hargitay's foundation. Jade and I also got married. Speaking of, I better get back to him."
Oh my God, I wish I could have snapped a picture of that bitch's face! She was awestruck how successful I had become! Ah, life is good.
