Jade's POV
The sun was setting on one of the only warm days we have left. While Harley was inside watching the baby, Seamus and I took a seat on the patio around our fire pit with some beers.
"So, I haven't heard any updates on Crissy lately." I spoke as I leaned back.
He sighed. "It's... not looking good for me."
I looked at him worriedly. "Do I want to ask?"
"She made me take a paternity test and it came back positive." He admitted, to which I felt it suddenly hard to swallow.
Part of me always knew that kid was his, no matter what a whore she was. Why does he sound so disappointed though? When I had my daughters and son, I was ecstatic! Even though they weren't all expected.
"You make that sound like a bad thing." I spoke as I took a drink off my beer. "I mean, other than the fact you have to share a kid with Crissy."
"It's not bad, but... I'm going to be a father." He responded. "At least you got nine months to prepare. I just woke up one day and found out."
"I never got a chance with Ella. Brit just set her on my door one day." I replied, laughing a bit. "That kid's only a little younger than Carolyn. You can make up for your lost time. That is, if you want him."
"I do, I do. Everything is just... Changing." He murmured.
"Change is good." I reassured. "Are you taking full custody? He doesn't belong with that trailer park witch."
"I'm going to have to talk to Ash about it... But probably. He's been with her for twelve years... Will he even want to come stay with me?"
"I'm sure. Anyone would be happy to get away from Crissy." I chuckled, getting us on a happier topic.
We talked about him and Ash finally being back together, and the fact that he really didn't sleep with Holly, thank God. Then we kept going about advise on raising a kid and all that jazz.
I think this'll be good for him. He's been out in his own world lately, and he needed something to pull him down to earth.
