Day late Father's Day special to murder all your hearts. I wrote this on my phone, so I can't put the song on, but if you want to kill your hearts more, check out Daddy's Little Girl by Frankie J
Ella's POV
CC left this morning to go record at the studio, but we made a plan. He was going to bring a friend over tonight to watch Carolyn while he took me to see my parents at the hospital. I had just finished packing the bag my mom asked me to make up when the door bell rang.
"CC!" I smiled, getting a hug from him. He gives amazing hugs!
"Someone warmed up to you pretty fast!" His friend laughed. "I'm Jake, by the way."
"Ella, and this is my little sister Carolyn." I said as I stepped out of the way.
She had been hiding behind me the whole time. Jake knelt down in front of her, smiling. "Carolyn, that was my mothers name. She was beautiful, just like you."
Carolyn giggled, then CC changed the subject. "You ready to go?"
I sighed, shaking. "Yeah, yeah. Um, Jake there's plenty of food in the fridge. Feel free to take some, or you can order pizza or something. Carolyn is allergic to strawberries and peanuts, and she can't have sugar after six. Her bedtime is nine, and uh, that's pretty much it. You can call me if there's any trouble."
"Don't worry about it! I take care if my nieces and nephews all the time! Piece of cake!" He grinned reassuringly.
"Come on!" CC said, pulling my arm. "Rush hour's gonna hit soon!"
"I'm coming!" I laughed.
Harley's POV
Jade was on life support. I've seen enough TV to know, more than 72 hours usually means they're gone. It's only been twelve since they pulled him out of surgery. His airway collapsed, and he had a punctured lung. There were a few broken bones, and I'm sure his soul is broken as well. I know mine is.
There is no worst feeling than knowing your loved ones last memories of you could have been a fight. A stupid, childish fucking fight. God, if you can hear me, please give him the strength to live. He is the only thing holding me to the ground anymore.
I need him like I need air. On top of all this, Nicky, my best friend, is also sick. Everything is falling apart. I heard a throat clear, and I looked up to see my beautiful daughter and CC.
She looked at her father, laying in a hospital bed with tubes down his throat and IV's in his arm. Machines were all that were keeping him alive! No one should ever seen their loved one like that.
Ella looked back at me with watery eyes. I stood from me seat in the window, walking across the room and hugging her tightly. She handed me the bag I had asked her to bring, then began to walk towards her father's bedside.
CC and I exchanged solum looks, then we left her alone with her father. For all I know, it could be the last time she gets with her.
"How's she holding up?" I softly asked as we walked the halls.
He didn't know this, but I was headed to see Nicky. Thank God, NJ wasn't in the ICU.
"Doing alright. She was scared a lot last night. In fact, I suggest we watch a movie, to get her mind off things, and she ended up falling asleep on me." He lightly laughed. "I think she just needed to be held by someone, but she didn't want to admit it."
"She's stubborn, like her mother." I joked. "CC, I don't know what I'll do if I lose Jade."
"You won't, okay? As long as you keep faith." He reassured.
Ryder's POV
I finally got to see Nicky's beautiful eyes this morning. He was awake, and stabilizing. The doctor explained that he's developed Type II Diabetes as a product of his HIV. The reason why he passed out was because he blood sugar bottomed out.
Then the doctor pulled me into the hall. It worried Nicky and I both, for different reasons, I'm sure.
"Now, it is my obligation to tell you that while treating Nicky, we noticed evidence of self harm on his arms." The doctor said.
"He used to cut, and he's got scares from it." I replied, internally shaking a bit.
"I saw, but I am referring to fresh cuts. Now, I can either have your word that you will deal with this, or I'll have to take actions."
"I'll help him." I muttered. "He is my husband after all."
"Glad to hear. Nicky should be as to check out as soon as he's stable." The doctor reassured, then walked away the same time I saw Harley and CC come walking towards me.
Ella's POV
They saw when someone is in a coma, they can hear everything. I hope that's true, so my daddy knows I love him. We get in so many fights over my teenage bullshit, and I wish I could take it all back.
It shouldn't take a car accident for me to open my eyes. I need to treat my father better! What have I been doing to him? Other than stressing him out.
"Daddy, I'm sorry. I-I'm sorry for all the times I didn't listen and I knew you were right. I'm sorry for all the pointless fights, and those times you asked me to go to the movies, but I told you I was too busy with my stupid friends. I should have gone with you. I should have made memories with you, but I was a stupid teenager about it. I love you, daddy. Please don't go... Please don't go." I began crying as I rested my hand on the side rail of the bed.
A hand touched my back softly, and I looked up. Through watery eyes I saw CC, gently smiling.
"Come on kiddo. Let's get you home, you've had a long day. Better yet, why don't you crash at my place tonight? Help get your mind off things?"
I nodded, weakly standing up. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder as we walked out.
