Kevin's POV
Christmas; Arianna's favorite holiday. Well, every holiday is her favorite holiday, but this one takes the cake. It's everything she loves, from the beautiful lights and gifts, to the cheesy movies and snuggling next to the fire. I have to admit, it's pretty nice.
We were driving back home after dinner with her family. They kept asking when we're getting married, just like every family get-together. I could tell it bothered her, but she tried to stay positive because she didn't want another fight, especially on Christmas Eve.
Looking over to her, sitting wordlessly in the truck and watching the snow fall, I felt a strange rush come over me. It was almost as if something in my mind finally clicked, seeing the moonlight shine across her gorgeous face. I stopped the truck, pulling over on the side of an empty road.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, looking over to me with concern.
I rested my arms on top of the wheel, staring up the hill to where the train tracks were. The train came through, making that relaxing noise as the smoke billowed out. I sighed, moving my eyes over to her as Here Without You came on the radio. "Only if everything is okay for you."
"What'd you mean?" Arianna softly asked, that innocence still left in her that left me a long time ago.
"I mean, if you're okay, I'm okay. If you're happy, I'm happy, and I want to always be the one that makes you happy." I reassured her.
She smiled. "Oh, Kevin, you'll always keep me happy!"
"I know, and I don't want that to ever change." I responded, grabbing her hand. "We've never really been the most conventional people in the world, so I hope you're okay with this, because honestly this wasn't planned and I don't have a fancy ring for you, but it just hit me, that we're meant to be. Will you marry me?"
Her mouth dropped open as she tried not to cry. Arianna attacked me with a hug, squeezing me tightly. "Yes, Kevin, yes I will. I could never be with anyone else, ever. I love you."
I tightened my embrace around her, enjoying the moment as I replied, "I love you, too, Angel."
Eddie's POV
The snow was coming down pretty bad, so I decided to help Aleks to his car. Genesis and I hosted a dinner party for our friends that were available, and it seemed Aleks was the only one that had to show up without someone. He wasn't exactly happy the whole night.
"You gonna be okay?" I asked as he opened his trunk to put some gifts in there. "I know it's hard spending a Christmas without her."
"Yeah," He muttered, leaning against the rim of the truck's hood. "As weird as it sounds, yeah, I will be. When you're stuck in a relationship like that, you're too blind to realize how much they don't love you, until the relationship is over. Looking back, there was so much I could have done without her."
"There's also a lot you couldn't have done." I reminded him. "You've got a lot in your future, but don't stress about finding someone to spend it with."
"Trust me, I won't. This Christmas my only sweetheart is my Guinea Pig and a beer." Aleks chuckled.
I giggled. "Merry Christmas, man."
He closed the trunk again, looking over and smiling at me. "Merry Christmas, Eddie."
Aleks hugged me, then got in his car and left. I sighed, watching him drive away and hearing the front door open. Seamus and Ash came walking out, heading towards their own car. Seamus' son is with Crissy right now. As much as he didn't want her to have any custody, he couldn't take the kid on full time because of his work.
