Harley's POV
The sky was beaming off of the snow, sparkling like gems, but nothing could shine as much as NJ's eyes right now. I know he must be nervous, however that's all buried by the joy of this amazing day. It's the day of the wedding, and all I can see is smiling faces.
Snow was falling elegantly outside as we sat in one of the dressing rooms of the church. Nicky's aunt was next to me, tearing up at the sight of her baby growing up. It was a little crazy for me too. I've known both NJ and Ryder for over ten years, and it's so surreal to finally be here.
"You nervous?" I asked him as he surfed through his phone.
He took a hard swallow. "It's just another day. Why should I be? ...Okay, yeah, I'm really nervous, but a happy kind of nervous."
"It's good to be scared. I know I was terrified when I married Jade, and we didn't even have a big wedding. It was just us, in front of a Judge. This, this is big, but I'm proud of you."
"She isn't the only one." His aunt smiled.
"Thank you, both of you." Nicky grinned, then sighed. "I guess it's time."
Ryder's POV
God, I was so nervous. We were only moments away from the ceremony. How did we even survive everything to make it this far? It's fucking crazy to be here, finally locking down forever.
"I think this is the first time I've ever seen you nervous." Eddie giggled as we stood in the hallway outside where the ceremony will be held.
"Oh, shut up." I snit back. "You'll get it when you get married. It's a killer."
"Love is just a killer." He smiled. "But, it's also pretty amazing. Now, let's get this show on the road."
Eddie offered Genesis his arm, and they both walked through the doors. The others followed, until it was my turn. I took the arm of my step mother, who would be walking me down the isle. There's never really been an important woman figure in my life, so I was forced to just pick someone.
Those doors opened, and as nervous as I was, I was happy. The snow was falling outside, and everyone inside was smiling, including my proud father. Never thought I'd be able to say that. Then there was the wedding party; the girls standing on one side, and the guys on another with Hope playing ring bearer and Jade's daughters as flower girls. These people have come to be my family, and I wouldn't want anyone else standing up there.
My entrance wasn't a big deal, it was Nicky's. This, for the most part, has been his wedding more than it was mine. We always joke about him being the girl in the relationship, when really, he's just my equal. He looked so handsome, walking down on the arm of his aunt. He smiled at me, and I took a breath, smiling back.
The minister began his speech, and we went through our vows. We did have to modify them a bit, but it all meant the same. Finally, he said the words I had dreaming to hear, "You may kiss the groom."
I leaned in, feeling Nicky smile against my skin as we shared a passionate, sweet kiss that meant more than anything in the world to me. Our fingers interlocked with each other, as we smiled brighter than ever. We walked back down the aisle, finally getting over one of our biggest milestones.
There was cheering and clapping, but I honestly zoned it all out. All that mattered right now was Nicky, the man I can finally call my husband, my one true love.
As we settled into the car to go the reception, I felt him lean his head on my shoulder. "I love you." He softy said. It was so genuine, it could have broken my heart.
"I love you, too, Angel." I replied, unable to wipe the smile from my face.
Jade's POV, Later
We were at the reception, eating and enjoying conversation with each other. I noticed the girls kept eyeing the fact that Harley was drinking water instead of wine, but none of them had the nerve to ask. That is, none of the girls.
"Harles," Eddie muttered to her. "It's not like you not to have wine at a celebration."
"Well, sometimes life takes some unexpected turns." She slyly replied, to which he giggled.
"Yeah, there's quiet a few bumps in the road." He said, and they both laughed under their breath. "Congrats, sissy. Better get my a nephew this time."
"I'll put an order in." She smirked.
I laughed, wrapping my arm around her waist. We shared a quick kiss as the music got a little louder. Looking up, I saw Ryder offer his hand to Nicky, and they stepped onto the dance floor for their first dance. I Keep On Lovin' You by Reba McEntire came on. What a perfect song for a perfect couple.
They were so happy together. It reminded me of Harley and I. No matter what, we fought the odds, for love. Lord knows we've had our issues, but we stay together no matter what.
A few songs played back to back, until another love song came on; Landing In London by 3 Doors Down and Bob Seger. I offered Harley my hand, and pulled her to the floor, smiling as I kissed her. This truly was bliss, and I was enjoying every moment of it.
