Arianna POV
There is so much crap to do around the house. I still have to do like three loads of laundry, and vacuum, and just, UGH. Kevin is too busy recording to help, so I get to do everything, which gets kind of annoying sometimes. I mean, I have to work to!
Then we got this stupid wedding invitation. Okay I'm sorry, it's not stupid, but it's stupid that I'm not the one getting married. It's embarrassing that all our friends are, and here Kevin and I are, still the babies. I have to go to NJ and Ryder's wedding, and NJ still thinks I hate him!
"You okay?" Kevin's voice sudden asked, startling me, making me almost drop the plate I was washing. "You seem a little out of it, babe."
I sniffled and used my shoulder to wipe some water off my cheek. "What, what do you mean?"
"There's something major on your mind, isn't there?" He asked.
Why does he always know?! It's like he has ESPN or something! I set the last dish in the sink, sighing as I pushed some hair out of my face.
"Ari Mae?" Kevin repeated, irritated that I didn't responded. "Is it something I did?"
"N-no, not exactly. It's a few things." I huffed. "One of which is NJ. I treated him like, just, crap, and he-he hasn't even done anything wrong. I just, I don't know why I don't like him for some reason and I hate that. There's just always been something about him I don't like."
"Maybe it's because you two are so alike. They say opposites attract, so shouldn't two people who are the same... not attract?"
"I-I guess so, I don't know... and then there's the fact that we-we haven't gone out together in weeks, maybe months, and then I saw all our friends from high school are getting married and we, we were still dating. And that-that, just-" I stopped, sighing as I crossed my arms.
Kevin's eyes softened as he wrapped his arms around me. "Babe, I promise, we'll get there, and I know it seems like everyone is getting married, but in reality, it's only really two couples we know out of what? Like eight or nine? Plus, we're younger than NJ and Ryder, and Harley and Jade had to get married, for their daughter."
"Yeah, but still... Others are on their way to get married, and just, I don't know. We haven't gone out in weeks, months." I responded.
"I'm sorry, that's my fault." He said. "I've been working too much. How about we go to The Cheesecake Factory this Saturday."
I looked up at him, fixing my shirt a little. "Yeah, that'd be nice. We've been really, I guess, distant from each other. We don't even kiss as much as we used to."
"Let me fix that." He smiled as he leaned down and kissed me.
Then the phone rang... typical. I sadly broke away from his lips, and he sighed as I went to answer.
"Hello?" I asked cheerfully.
"Hey, Arianna, it's Nicky." The other voice said. Oh, great... "Am I interrupting you from anything? I can call back."
"No, no you're not... Um, Kevin and I were just..." I paused, looking across the to him. "Um, anyways, what's up?"
"I thought I'd ask if you wanted to be a bridesmaid in our wedding, if you want." He replied.
I opened my mouth, a little shocked and searching for words. "Wait, what? After, after all I've done to you. NJ, I'm a real bitch and I especially was when I saw you again, and I don't deserve it."
"You and I might not have always got along, but you're still apart of our family. I want you to be there."
"I-I'm so sorry, NJ." I mumbled. "Of course I will. "Of course I will. Well, what do you need me to do? For like a dress, and helping."
"Call Harley in the morning. She'll give you all the details. Dresses aren't really my thing." NJ laughed a bit.
I smiled. "Yeah, okay, I'll call her. Thanks so much, NJ. When's the wedding, again?"
"Two months from now." He replied. "It's going to be in Colorado. We just thought it was right to have it there. By the way, if Kevin would like to be a groomsman, he's welcome to."
"I'll ask him. It's gonna be beautiful, I bet. Thanks again, have a good night!" I beamed.
"You too, good night." He said, then hung up.
