Eddie's POV
I just got done visiting Harles and Jade, when I decided it'd be best to check in on Seamus. This whole business of him not seeing his newborn nephew just rubs me the wrong way.
He doesn't care if I drop in unannounced. At least, the old him doesn't. Then again, the old him would have actually come to see Gray when he was born.
I sighed, pulling in the parking lot of his apartment complex. There was another car there that looked familiar, but I couldn't quiet place it. Huh, maybe I'm just a little off today.
The elevator was out, great. I ran upstairs to his floor, a little out of breath by the top. Shit, does he have to live on the third floor?
There was some yelling in the hall, and I assumed it was a neighbor. Imagine my surprise when I realized otherwise.
Some nasty blond woman was arguing with Seamus in the hall. Ashley stood back in the doorway of the apartment, looking a bit scared.
"Woah, woah, woah, what's going on here?" I asked as I got between the two.
"This asshole refuses to pay child support!" The blond shouted.
"It's not my kid!" Seamus responded.
"Don't go blaming this on Jade again! I know it's not his!" She hissed.
"Dude, how many girls did you try and push off on Jade? First Crissy and now her?" I asked, honestly a little disappointed in him.
He huffed. "This IS Crissy."
My eyes went big as I did a double take on her. "Well, you... Changed."
She looked like shit, okay? She looked like fucking shit. Crissy went from being a five to a negative one.
"Just shut it, asshole. I just want the money I deserve." She scoffed.
"You don't deserve anything from me." He bitterly replied. "That kid, isn't mine."
"Fine, be that way. I'll take your ass to court if I have to. Oh, and I know you slept with my sister last month! Asshole!" She yelled on her way out.
"You what?!" Ashley and I simultaneously said, looking at him like he had two heads.
"Don't listen to her. She'd say anything to break us up." He sweetly told her, but she wasn't buying it.
Ashley slammed the door in his face, and he sighed as we both heard the deadbolt turn.
"She has the keys." He muttered. "Can you give me a ride to my cousin's?"
"I don't think you're very welcome there, either. Not after you completely blew off the birth of their new baby. I can't let you stay with me if all this is going on. Genesis won't be happy, but we can always call Aleks?"
Seamus shrugged. "What choice do I have?"
Aleks' POV
My apartment was pretty empty, and depressing. Taylor took everything she could, but still decided to leave behind the pictures of us. I can't blame her.
The place still looked like shit, but I'm fixing it up the best I can. My phone started to ring.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey, so Ash and Seamus got in a fight." Eddie said. "I can't let him stay at my house, so would you mind?"
"Yeah, I don't care." I mumbled.
"Okay, see you soon." He told me, then hung up.
Great, as if there isn't enough of my own issues to deal with. As long as he keeps his distance, I'll keep mine. We both have enough issues with the rest of the world, we don't need them with each other.
