Trouble [S.B]

Noelle sat at the bleachers, watching as her house captain gave orders to the team. She loved quidditch, she just lost some of that love after third year, when she was playing for her house as a chaser and one of the beaters of the opposing team purposefully hit one of the bludgers towards her. She fell from her broom and broke her back, ever since she's been a bit scared about heights.

This beater being none other than Sirius Black.

"There you are!" Noelle jumped three feet into the air and looked back to meet her friend who was trying to conceal her smile.

"I kind of hate you right now Kasumi" she frowned at her friend and only then noticed the other two girls that were with her "Came to admire Parkinson?" she smirked.

"Shut up" Ruby blushed and sat beside Noelle shoving her to the side playfully.

"You love me"

"I'm having second doubts" she mumbled making Noelle stare at her in mock hurt.

"You wound me Stross" the girl shrugged and tried to hide her smile "and here I thought you were one of the nicest Hufflepuffs in the school"

"Quit it both of you. I've already had to listen to playful banter from Kasumi and her new girlfriend" said the voice of Malia as she sat next to the girl.

"You got yourself a new bird?" asked Noelle turning to meet Kasumi's eyes.

"Don't say bird ever again" Ruby frowned at the odd word in which she was referring to Kasumi's girlfriend.

"Have you been watching those movies again?" asked Malia staring accusingly at her.

"No. Kind of. Maybe?" she smiled sheepishly at her friends "I was bored okay? Besides my adoptive parents were traveling so I had the house all to myself"

"You didn't invite anyone over right?" asked Kasumi in a worried tone. The Wizarding World was becoming more and more dangerous lately, and she worried for her friends well being.

"No I didn't. I spent about a week at Regulus house though, his mum loves me for some reason" she turned herself back towards the pitch to see how the practice was going.

"Of course she does. I bet she's hopping to get you two engaged" joked Ruby, her eyes not leaving a certain Slytherin beater.

"Ew, no! I see Reggie as my brother, that'd be weird" she shuddered at the thought before she thought of what they were previously talking "You mentioned a girlfriend Malia, how come you didn't tell me Kasumi?"

"I mean we've been going out for some time but we only recently became official" she blushed thinking about the girl.

"Aw that's so sweet Kas" she smiled at the girl "Who's she?"

"It's Mary from Gryffindor" she bit her lip waiting for her reaction.

"Oh" she remained quiet for a few moments before speaking again "she's a nice girl Kasumi, just because McKinnon and I had a spat last year doesn't mean her friends the same or that you shouldn't be with her because of me" she looked at the shy girl and gave her a reassuring smile "You deserve to be happy Kasumi, you shouldn't worry about me"

"But we do Ellie" Kasumi spoke in a strong voice that wasn't often used.

"We all do" Ruby spoke this time "you deserve to be happy too" she frowned at her friend.

"You deserve someone to treat you like the queen you are Noelle. Not this nonsense you've got going on" Malia placed her hand on said girls shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"Guys I'm completely fine as I am right now. I'm discovering new things and I'm quite content as I am"

"Shagging people left and right isn't okay Noelle" Ruby spoke in an angry voice this time.

"You guys said you wouldn't judge me, besides it's not like I'm lying about how much I love them or dating them for less than a week and then dumping them on their arse. Before I get myself involved with anyone I always let them know it's purely physical and that's it, no second times and no dating" she was getting herself worked up over that subject and no matter how many times they tried to reason with her she wouldn't listen. She sighed deeply trying to calm herself and switched subjects "Malia where did you left Nicolas?"

"Pfft, where do you think? The library. The boy is such a nerd a sometimes" she blew a strand of curly hair that had fallen over her face before centering her attention in the practice. Their earlier conversation vanishing from their minds just as quickly as it had come.

"You love him like that" Kasumi snorted and the girls laughed.

"Yeah" Malia had a soft smile playing at her lips, she sighed contently "I guess I do"
