Trouble [S.B]

It was very sudden.

No one had been expecting it, though they knew it was going to happen. 

This is how it happened.

Noelle had woken up, just as she had every other day, Sirius had already left for work so she was alone with Orion and their dog, Tobias, for company. Like usual, she went to Orion first and found him staring at the small hanging figures on top of him, sucking on one of his fingers to ease his hunger until he grew unsatisfied with it. Sirius had become incredibly creative lately and he'd built Orion a sort of chandelier, with lights and plush figures of different things. These things included a hippogriff, a star, a dragon, a unicorn and a phoenix. Orion had taken an obvious liking to the object as he could gaze at it for hours on end, watching as they moved on top of him. Noelle peered at him and immediately his concentration was broken as he stared now at his mother who was smiling softly at him. The baby returned the smile with a toothless smile and kicked his legs and arms in the air in excitement.

Noelle giggled at him before picking him up. "Someone's excited today. You ready to have some food, yeah?"

Orion babbled in response as they headed down the stairs. When she got to bottom of the stairs she opened the hatch of the gate she and Sirius had put up when Orion started crawling and would always head for the stairs whenever placed on the floor. As soon as she was in the hallway of their home, Tobias came bounding and barking, his tail wagging behind him as he followed Noelle into the kitchen.

"Hello to you too, Tobby." she pet him twice and he barked in response.

Noelle did her usual routine, which included feeding Tobias and starting breakfast for herself and Orion. In a few minutes Bill and Charlie would join her for their usual tutoring with Noelle and she wanted to be ready for when they arrived. Unfortunately she wasn't ready for when they appeared through the fireplace the very next minute she had placed the food in front of Orion. Noelle poked her head out the door and stared at the two boys as they ran their hands down their clothes in an attempt to get rid of the dirt. "Hello boys, you're early."

"Yeah, mum sent us early because the twins managed to fill the bathroom with swamp water. Sorry if we're bothering you." Bill said as he took his younger brothers hand and walked towards Noelle.

She shook her head and smiled at the two, taking out her wand and muttering a spell to clean them up. "No worries, you're always welcome here. You have breakfast already?" she motioned inside the kitchen with her head and the two boys followed her in. In the few seconds Noelle had left Orion unsupervised he'd already made a mess of the little table attached to his high chair as he attempted to feed himself. When Noelle entered the room his eyes snapped up and saw the newcomers, making a grin appear in place as he giggled and gave the two boys a baby like wave.

The three laughed at the boy which in turn made him laugh as well. Noelle shook her head and took the chair next to him, Bill taking the other one on Orion's side while his brother sat next to him. "We ate before we came here." Bill said as he smiled at the cheery Orion.

"Thank you, though." pipped in Charlie, a bashful look to him as Noelle smiled warmly at him.

"It's okay, I'll only take a few minutes and then we'll start, yeah?" the two boys nodded.

Noelle had already finished the morning session with the two boys and had mentioned that since it was summer they were going to have longer periods to just play and do whatever they wanted. The boys were incredibly happy as they were allowed to use the brooms on the broom shred inside of Noelle's house. She had been sitting on the stairs by the entrance of her house, Orion on her lap, watching as Bill and Charlie tossed a ball back and forth as they flied ten feet above the ground, Tobias was right underneath them waiting for the time were the ball fell from their grasp to catch it when it happened.
