I spent a few hours with Storm and then I went to Xander's office to finish up the remaining paperwork I hadn't completed earlier.

I was filling out some documents when a guard knocked on the door.

He bowed. "Luna, Alpha King Xander is on line 4. ", I smiled and thanked the guard. He went on his way and I picked up the phone.

"Xander? ", I whispered.

"Rebecca, I'm half way through this flight. How are you? How's things there? ", he spoke sternly.

He wasn't alone. He had to bring out his alpha voice and I smiled. So in control.

"I'm fine. Everything is okay. This paperwork is excruciatingly tiresome. How do you manage this everyday? ", I laughed.

There was some shuffling at the other end of the line and a door slammed shut.

"I usually think about you... it makes things easier to bare. ", he said devilishly.I could picture his smirk.

He was alone now.I was sure of it.

"I miss you. ",I said softly.

"I miss you too. Try not to cry over my absence too much. "

"Oh, you're so full of yourself. ", I laughed and he laughed too.

I heard a loud knock on the other side if the call and a faint murmer.

"Listen, Rebecca I have to go now. I love you. "

I smiled.

"I love you too. Goodbye. ", I hung up and put the phone down. I took a deep breath and went to the border to see how things were going.

It was a clear night and the stars shined brightly. The moonlight lit the forest with its blue-ish shimmer.

"Everything tuning swiftly? ", I asked the lead guard.

"Yes, Luna Rebecca. Everyone is vigilant and the pack is well protected. ", I nodded.

"Why do you think the Breachers attacked us? ", I asked carefully.

He scratched the back of his head.
"For the crown - for fun maybe? "

Why would they lay down there lives just for fun - Grace said with confusion.

I don't know... it's odd isn't it - I replied.

"Luna are you okay? you zoned out", the guard spoke with concern.

I smiled and nodded. "I am. Keep up the good work. ", I left and went to the palace.

I took a shower and went to bed. I miss my mate. His scent lingered around our room. I held onto his pillow and slept.

"He shall fall.", I heard Serena's voice in my sleep.

I jolted awake and looked around.

I'm just paranoid. I miss Xander and I this attack was so sudden and baffling.

I looked at the clock. It read 5:43am. My sleep had broken so I decided to start work ahead of time.

I went downstairs after showering. The palace was dimly lit and the guard's were vigilant. Everything was so quiet due it being so early in the morning and most of the pack was asleep. I felt restless. Maybe it was Because I was missing Xander?

He'll be home in the next six days. I can manage this I chanted.

I sat down and an omega brought me some coffee and a doughnut. I had my breakfast while I did the paperwork.

A few hours later and I remembered I had to attend a meeting in the western hall of the pack. It was a long way from here so I took Xander's Audi.

I got out of the car and everyone was alarmed. They bowed as I entered. I sat down.

"What's wrong? ", I used my Luna voice and demanded an explanation for everyones anxiety.

"The king isn't here - how will we conduct this meeting... ", a nervous she-wolf spoke.I know her -her name is Jennifer

"Have you no faith in your Luna? ", I asked sternly.

"We need to build trust first Royal Luna.You can't expect us to open up just because you're the kings mate. ", a she-wolf with bold brown eyes and red lips spoke suddenly. That was out of line. Her tone of voice was of.

"You forget that I am also your Luna. State your name council member. ", I said strictly.

"Kiara -Kiara Hale. ", she said with pride and a slight smirk.

"Royal blood line. Good to know. You'd do well not to answer out of line the next time. I asked a specific person a question -unless your name is Jennifer I didn't want your answer. ", I said bluntly.

"My apologies Royal Luna Rebecca. ", she had a slight cynical smile.
I do not like her personality at all!

"First order of business please. ", I said and thus began a very long meeting.

It was so boring in here. The walls were a grey color which made the room so dull. I felt like sleeping. This was worse than watching a black and white movie based on history.

I felt really itchy and my attention was diverted.

"Luna, any suggestions? ", a wolf asked.

"No. nothing. ", what were we even talking about? My body was so itchy.

I began to scratch my legs and arms. I had to resist my urge to rip my clothes apart and scratch everywhere.

This boring room and boring meeting was making me more agitated.

I couldn't take this. People where having a conversation and here I was with my agitation and itchy body. What the hell was happening to me? It felt as if millions of insects were climbing up and down my body. I got up suddenly and everyone stood up abruptly.

"Everything all right Luna? ", another wolf asked.

"Yes. I'm fine. Can we adjourn and continue this meeting tomorrow? ", I asked. They agreed and I left. My body was so itchy. I went to my bedroom and undressed. I felt so - so hot! I wanted to scratch every where. I went into the shower and turned the cold water on. The cool droplets literally evaporated as it came into contact with my body. My entire body was red.

I was so hot. I needed water. I drank ice water and it burned. I felt as if I was being burned alive!

What is happening to me! My abdomen began to pain. I felt as if something was trying to crawl its way out of my stomach. The pain was unbearable. I screamed out in pain and an omega rushed in.

"Luna? ", she rushed to my side.

"Call Storm! ", I demanded.
I felt so hot and I needed a release. I couldn't bare this. I was in fire and I cried out from the pain.
