I woke up to someone playing with my hair. I opened my eyes and saw Xander... he was awake. I immediately jolted awake and hugged him from seeing his blue eyes wide awake.

He whinced. I had almost forgotten his injuries.

"Sorry. ", I moved some hair away from his face and I removed myself of him. I gave him a long and deep kiss. My hands played with his hair.

He gave me a big smile.

"You scared me... I thought I lost you for a while... I didn't know what to do. ", I began to tear up and my voice sounded so off.

"You didn't. I'm here now... I wasn't going anywhere. I heard your message through the mindlink.I love you so much, Rebecca. ", he took my hand in his and squeezed it comfortingly.

I kissed his hand.

"I was not going to leave you - I couldn't have... you're my world and without you I have no purpose. ", he smiled.

I sniffed back my tears. I was so afraid of looking him.

I was about to ask how he was feeling when a the doctor came inside. He bowed at Xander and I and we acknowledged him.

He took out his stethoscope and began to examine Xander.

"How are you feeling today, King Xander? ", he asked and gave me a small smile.

"As strong as I could ever be. When can I get back to work? ", Xander brushed his health off as of we're nothing and I shot him a glare.

"I'm afraid the injuries you sustained were brutall and serious. If you were an ordinary wolf, you'd be dead- luckily for you alpha genes. I suggest you wait for you wounds to heal, it will take at least three days. Until then I want you to stay away from stress and remain in the hospital wing until I tell you you're ready to leave. ", the doctor spoke strictly.

"I honestly feel fine! ", Xander said with a bit of edge.

"Relax... just listen to him, for my sake... ", I gave him a small smile and he nodded.

"Good. By the way Alpha, congratulations on winning the challenge... ", the doctor said faintly and walked out of the room.

Ah yes, the challenge were my mate nearly die and blood was shed everywhere...

Xander looked at me and I walked towards him. I sat on the side of his bed and I looked at him.

"You know, I know of a good way to relieve stress... ", he smirked.

"No. ", my eyes went wide and I laughed, "you're on bed rest till the doctor says you can go. "

He pouted and laughed.

"This is a complete waste of my time. ", Xander said half an hour later.

"You haven't even began to relax. When was the last time you took some time of for yourself? ", I asked.

He sighed.

"My time is much to valuable to be sitting around and staring at the walls. ", he complained
I rolled my eyes.

"Rebecca, what did I say about rolling your eyes at me. ", he said.

I raised my eyebrow at him and smirked.

"You said I can do whatever I want. ", I taunted.

"Don't let me get out of this bed. ", he smirked.

"Oh yeah? ", I edged on.

He woke up instantly and pinned me against the wall. He was only in a jeans and his 8-pack flexed. Being so close to him gave me butterflies.I took a deep breath while he looked into my eyes. He eyes me up and down. He traced his index finger down my cheek.
