Xander took a deep breath.

"Take the rogue to the holding cell. ", Xander spoke, "Do not harm him -yet. "

That was all Xander spoke while Bryson was taken away. Bryson's innocent eyes looked at the ground and he frowned.

"There are rules to this thing Rebecca, you can not act on a feeling. If we let him go other rogues will think it's alright to lurk near our pack. We must set an example and protect our people. ", Xander spoke.

"He shouldn't have to pay for protecting his lover and himself with his life. That's ludicrous Xander - and you know it too - don't have solid proof than he had any intention of harming us. ", I replied.

I turned to Kiara.

"Well then,if the Luna insists that he is innocent - we should undermine the code -", Kiara sarcastically said but was interrupted.

"Do not disrespect the code, Kiara! ", Xander boomed with his alpha tone. She whimpered.

I stood my ground.

"Xander, please - think about this. We can't act inhumanely.He is innocent. "

He gave what I said some thought.

"Very well then, if you think the rogue is innocent and a member of council disagrees, we will abide by the code and put him on trial. ", Xander spoke. That was the final say.

Kiara smirked. Xander began walking away.

"Luna, There is something you should know- the council does not take kindly to rogues. ", Kiara said.

She walked away and left me to my thoughts.

How on earth do I prove that Bryson is innocent?

Later that day I got word from an omega that Xander has set the trial three days from now.

I went to Xander. He was in the courtroom and I was waiting for information Bryson's case.

I sat on one of the audience's benches and waited a while.

The council was strict and made me feel uncomfortable. Kiara stood up and bowed. Every one noticed me and bowed.

I nodded slowly.

"Councilmen, the rogue that was captured today will be put on trial. We have the insinuation that he may be innocent. ", Kiara brought forward. I could feel her heated gaze on me.

"Who would trust a rogue? ", the council men laughed at the idea.

A rogue?

I stood up.

"I do, I am defending the wolf. ", I faced forward with the head up.

A few gasps where heard in the crowd.

An elderly man who belonged to the council spoke very gravely.

"Very well, Luna. ", he splayed his fingers and silenced the crowd. Xander gripped onto his seat tightly so that his knuckles were turned white.

"King Xander, Are we honestly putting a rogue in trial. He must be punished. This is just a waste of time. ", a short bald-headed man spoke.

"I'm afraid so. Rogue or not - the wolf at least deserves to explain himself to us. ", Xander spoke.

I smiled at Xander. Not all rogues are cruel and evil - that mindset of all rogues must change in this courtroom. Some rogues don't have packs because they were born without a pack - innocent wolves...

The courtroom broke into arguments and protests.

"Silence!", Xander shouted and showed his alpha mark, "You dare disrespect you alpha? My decision is final! ", everyonewent silent.

His voice echoed.

I spent the remainder of that day working on the case. I was glad Xander was making a stand. Just because rogues did not have a pack did not mean that they were not his people.

He came to the library and I was engrossed in my research.

"Hello, there. ", he was behind me. He began to massage my back.

"This case is complicated. ", I sighed and he continued to massage my shoulders.

He moved my hair to the side and began kissing my neck.

"Take a break. ", he whispered into my ear and bit my earlobe.

I moaned and closed my eyes.

"I can't," I pouted, "not when this close. ", i gave him a small kiss and smiled.

"I wish I could help you, I hate to see you worry like this... but it will be interfering with the case.", he whispered.

"You are helping me. You gave me a chance - gave wolves a new outlook on people who don't belong to packs. ", I smiled.

"You are amazing. You are stunning , caring and you have a beautiful mind. You're the whole package. ", he massaged my shoulders.

"You should be so lucky. "

"Cocky, aren't we? ", he smirked.

"Just a tad. ", I winked.

I began writing down some notes.

"Can I ask you something? ", he spoke.

"Yes, shoot for the stars. ", I said.

"Are you and Kiara -"

"Friends? She doesn't like me for some odd reason. ", I admitted.

"She'll come around. I just noticed some tension between you two today. ", he said.

"Was it that obvious? ", I whiched.

He nodded.

"By the way... I like how you reacted today... ", I smirked.

"How did I react? ", he raised an eyebrow.

"You were so demanding and so powerful... so in control. ", I woke up an faced him. I wrapped my hands around his neck.

"You like that don't you? ", he smirked.

"You're so strong...and charming and so, "I whispered into his ear, "sexy. "

His eyes flashed black.

He pulled me towards him and smirked.He began kissing me and carried me to the couch in the library.
