I have been travelling for the past eight hours. I took regular breaks as I went along. I had to get away from the supernatural world if I wanted to safeguard the people I care about. I left behind my life with Xander... I won't ever forget the happiness he brought me. I was in so much of pain... I left behind my mate and it was killing me.

I didn't stop driving. The roads were busy and the lights from the oncoming cars showed my wolf's eyes on the review mirror. I could sense that Grace didn't want to talk... leaving her mate took a toll on her as well.

I thought about Storm and liam... how would they take the news of me tuning away?

Eventually my eyes couldn't stay awake and my body gave in. I was emotionally and physically exhausted. I decided to pull in at a hotel.

I had no money with me... I parked in the parking lot and slept in the backseat of the car.
-----
The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache. I didn't realise where I was because of the darkness of the night. I was in a small town... a long, long way from my pack.

I drove around and found a pawn shop. I took out my crown, necklace and other jewlary I had on and hid it under the seat. I took a diamond earing in my hand and got our of the car. People stared at me because of the beautiful dress - I must have looked like a runaway bride or something.

Several men gaped at me with their mouths wide open.

Woman fawned over my dress and I suddenly felt awkward with all the attention I was receiving. I walked into the pawn shop. It was cluttered with junk that no one would buy. I walked up to the cashier and slid my earing against the glass panel.

"What's the most that I can get for this? ", I felt bad about selling the earing...in all fairness I had no money and no where to go.

The man eyes me and then he looked at the earing. His eyes widened and he swallowed hard.

"Well mam, this is a very rare diamond... are you sure you want to sell it? ", the man said wearily. He was old and judging from his reaction he was unsure about whether I was serious or not. I gave him a look that showed I meant business and he mumbled to himself.

"You could easily pick up $550 000 dollars for this. ", he spoke.

I was desperate and accepted his bargain.

"Where are you from? ", he asked while he paid me out. I hadn't spoken a lot.

"Not far from here. ", I cut of conversation and took the money. I left.

I drove to the nearest clothing store I could find and bought a pair of jeans, flat shoes and a loose T-shirt.

I opened my hair and the loose curls bounced like springs down my back.

I took of the dress and left it in the boot.

I decided that if I stayed here it wouldn't be long until Xander found me...

I drove through the dusty, quiet and slow town until I was on the freeway again.

Where are we going? - Grace asked, breaking the silence.

Anywherebut here, Maybe a different continent... We're going to live far away from here, in a huge city with lots of humans so that my scent is hidden - I replied.

You'll have to find an international airport then... Try Los Angeles since we're close to the city.- Grace responded.

I drove for what seemed like hours... i kept thinking about the pain I've caused Xander and I... I ran away... I'm a coward.

I keep telling you, you are not a coward... you left to protect him.- Grace retorted.

Can you feel that? - I asked.

I can. Xander and Blaze are trying to get a hold of us. If you unblock it he'll know where we are. Don't give in... keep going - She replied.

I turned up the radio and to my demise a sad love song was playing. I shut it off and drove in silence.

I entered the busy city of Los Angeles California in the afternoon. The sky was a mixture if oranges, yellows, purples and pinks.

The colors touched each other and blended everything into a fine and beautiful sight.

I put on the navigation system and are my way to the Los Angeles International Airport.

I walked into the building and it was huge. People spoke rapidly In foreign languages and people pushed around huge suitcases. Security guards stood vigilantly. To the ordinary humans here, I was just a random soul wandering the building in a chaotic mess.

I walked over to a teller. She looked at me.

"Gosh - are you a model? ", she asked stunned.

"No? ", I replied awkwardly.

"Well you looks like one - I'm sorry that was extremely unprofessional and I'm - I'm sorry. This is my first day on the job. How can I help you? ", she smiled.

I gave a weak laugh. She reminded me of Storm and the day we met... Storm could not act formal even if her life depended on it.

I missed them so much...

"One ticket to -", I glared at the departures board for a name of a place far away from here, "One ticket to Dubai, please. ", I handed her all my documents and she took a while to sort everything out

"Sure thing. ", she replied.

"Can I export my car with this airline? ", she asked.

"You can."

"Alright... here is the number plate and parking area. ", I handed her the money and ticket.

"Return or one way ticket? ", she asked casually.

"One way...", I teared up.

She nodded.

After a 30 minutes she finally gave me my ticket to Dubai.
"Your plane leaves in 1 hour. ", she smiled.

"Thank you. ", I said and she smiled.

I went to sit with the people waiting when I smelt a werewolves scent.

"I found her - there she is! ", the werewolf who's scent I smelt said. He was a large man with big beefy arms. I causally woke up and practically ran into the female bathroom... I spent the entire wait there.

Woman came and went... many were on the phone and some were even gossiping.

"Boarding call for flight 12B To Dubai. ", a ladies voice echoed from the intercom.

I got out of the bathroom - careful of my surroundings and departed onto the plane. It was a huge plane - a sleek metal monster. I didn't have citizenship in Dubai so I'd have to keep moving from country to country. It was like I was a rogue again. I couldn't settle somewhere do too long incase I was found.

I got into the plane and realised - it was my first time flying. I was nervous about this. I was in economy class because I didn't want to waste the money. Insisted and sat by the window. Everything looked so tiny here. I closed my eyes and sighed.

A single tear fell down my face as the plane jerked into motion. My stomach was in knots and I was afraid... I was leaving behind my life - the love of my life. I closed my eyes and when I opened them - the plane was in the air. I felt sick knowing I was leaving. Grace howled in my head.

"Goodbye, Xander. ", I whispered as we flew past Los Angeles.
