The Rise of The Royal Rogue

Unwelcome

Today was the day Xander would come home. I was more than excited. I went to the hospital wing only to find an empty bed.

"Where is the king? ", I asked a nurse.

"He was discharged earlier this morning, Luna... ", she bowed.

How odd? He didn't even come to the room. I walked over to his bed and read through his charts. He was on some medicine - that's why he opened up to me... it seemed so unlike him to explain how he felt.

I walked over to his office and knocked on the door. Xander looked up at me with bright eyes.

I don't think he remembers yesterday...I'm definitely not going to bring it up.

"Hello, beautiful. ", he walked over and pecked me on the cheek.

"I went to the hospital and you weren't there, why didn't you come to the room? ", I asked wearily.

He smiled at me.

"You were asleep, I didn't want to wake you. ", he ran his hands through his hair.

"I wouldn't have minded. ", I said.

He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me towards him.

"What don't you mind? ", he whispered in my ear.

I blushed and giggled.

That my dear, that was such a schoolgirl thing to do - Grace grimaced.

I ignored her and ran my hands through Xander's lush hair. He began to kiss me. He carried me onto the table and deepened the kiss. His tounge fought for dominance and he won.

He bit my lip and I moaned against his kiss. He traced his fingers up and down my back- under my shirt. His touch felt so good.

He began to kiss my neck and I moaned as he grazed his teeth against my mark. I gasped. That area was so sensitive.

"You're mine. ", he said possesively.

"I'm yours. ", I said out of breath.

He began to let his itchy little fingers run over my body. He pulled at the ends of my shirt and I let him take control.

I took a shower and afterwards went to a meeting. The meeting was quiet intense. People disagreed on certain things and the conversation became heated. It was for our best interests that we adjourned the meeting and decided to continue tomorrow before someone looses a head.

I went to meet Liam and help him with some pack business. I was walking through the field towards the border when I saw Xander and Liam on high alert. They signalled for me to stay low and be quiet. I walked towards them.

"What's going on? ", I whispered.

"Rogues are trying to pass the border. ", Liam said with seriousness.

I watched the empty field carefully and saw, sensed and heard nothing.

"Are you two are sure? ", I raised an eyebrow.

They nodded. Xander seemed so tense...

"Go alert the watch tower. ", Xander commanded. Liam nodded and went on his way.

It was just Xander and I. We were quiet. The only thing I could hear was the sound of birds chirping and and some animals grunting in the bushes.

I turned away from Xander and looked at the palace. I heard a quick shot of air and turned around so quickly. Xander had caught an arrow in his hand and he was staring at me. Quick reflexes!

"Get down! ", he shouted. Within seconds at least 11 rogues ran into the border. Xander growled and bared his teeth. A rogue whimpered and backed away while the rest showed no fear and began to run into the territory.

Xander let his alpha instincts kick in and his eyes turned red. He shifted into his wolf and ran towards the rogues. He was so swift and strong.

Stay there -don't move! - He ordered with his alpha voice. He commanded through our mind link.

I did as I was told - surprisingly and I watched him fight of the rogues. He killed each and every one of them except the ring-leader who coughed up blood. Xander shifted back to his human form and lifted the rogue by his neck.

"WHO SENT YOU? ", he shouted and demanded. It sent shivers through my body.

"I'd -rather -die. ", the rogue spat.

Xander shook with rage.

"So be it! ", Xander lifted his free hand and slit the rogue's neck with his claws.

The blood splatted onto the grass and his face. He was covered in the rogue's blood.

He was furious.

"Xander-", I spoke but remained silent. What could I have said?

He growled loudly in anger. The entire pack went silent. Liam ran towards us and bowed on one knee.

The rest of the pack howled after Xander growled.

Xander put on some sweatpants and began walking back to the pack - shirtless. As he walked, the pack members bowed on one knee and howled. I followed behind him. Everyone bowed as the ultimate Alpha walked by. They showed their allegiance and respect by bowing. Power radiated from his every pore. He is the King of all werewolves.
