I'm getting married today! Why am I so excited even though I know Xander and I are mates? I guess it's just the idea of unifying our souls that makes me so happy. I love the idea of belonging to Xander and Xander belonging to me. We've come so far in life - from Lyra to now, I must say we've been through a lot.

Just thinking about walking down the aisle to marry him gives me butterflies. My cheeks heat up and I blush so much thinking about it all. Every cell of my body seems excited.

I was currently getting ready. People were dressing me up and telling me soft things to calm me down.

"Rebe- wow! You look beautiful... ", Storm barged into the room and she hid something behind her back. She was smiling widely and she looked so pretty as well.

I was ready for the wedding and it wasn't for another hour. Everyone wanted me dressed early to ensure that nothing was left for the last minute and we kept to our time.

Storm looked around. She really did look very pretty and I was proud to call her my best friend. She did so much of running around for my big day.

"Give us a minute, please. ", she said and everyone excited the room.

She sat beside me and giggled to herself.

"If you weren't my best friend I'd steal the dress. ",she said and I laughed. My nerves calmed down with her little joke.

"Uhmm. You're my family Becca and I know you have no family heirlooms to use and I figured that -", she faltered with her sentence and took a breath.

"This is my family heirloom and I want you to use it. It's something old, borrowed and blue. ", she handed me a box.

"Storm. ", I looked at her and I was in tears.

"You're making me cry, crap- my mascara. ", she said between tears, chuckled and wiped her face. I giggled too.

"Thank you. ", I hugged her tightly and let a tear fall. She didn't want me to feel like I didn't have a family today, the fact that she gave me her family heirloom made me so emotional.

"Open it. ", she smiled and I did.

It was a beautiful necklace. I gasped when I saw it.

"Storm it's beautiful - I - I. You're the best ever. ", I was breathing heavily.

"It was my mother's, it was the only piece of expensive jewellery she owned

"It was my mother's, it was the only piece of expensive jewellery she owned. My grandfather bought it for her when she was born. ", she explained.

The pendant glistened in my hand.

"Here, let me help you. ", she smiled and moved my hair to the side and hooked it around my neck.

"There, now you look perfect. "

"This day wouldn't have been possible without you and Liam. You two are just the best. Thank you... "
