The Rise of The Royal Rogue

I walked with him to the meeting room. Papers were stacked on the glass table and a vase was shattered on the floor. Someone was very angry here.

"Sit down, Rebecca... you're going to want to be seated when I tell you this. ", he spoke as an alpha. Something was wrong - very wrong.

I pulled the seat away and sat down facing him.

"When I went to Africa, I left my wolves in charge of watching Alpha Jacob. We were going to collect him today because we had enough evidence to charge him of murder - your parents murder. ", he watched me carefully.

"Why are you speaking as if you still have to complete these tasks? "

"That's the thing Rebecca, this morning I got word of his escape. He knew he would have lost so he killed the guards - its odd because there were so many - and he escaped. The evidence is missing from the court's vault. He's gone... ", he said angrily and flipped the table over causing it to shatter.

"You asked me for help - and I messed up. You don't deserve this- not from me you don't. I am so sorry Rebecca, it's all my fault I should have-", he punched the wall and his knuckles bled.

I walked up to him and hugged him. He calmed down as he took in my scent.

"It's not your fault. I know how hard you worked on capturing him. It's not your fault. This escape was planned out carefully. The breachers on the border was meant to distract us from Alpha Jacob's escape. He was planning this. ",It all made sense now.

"He is working with the Leader of the rogues. ", Xander said.

"If alpha Jacob and The king of rogues planned this imagine what else they have under their sleeves. ", I said thinking out loud.

"Jacob - he's no longer an alpha so call him Jacob and it's leader not king - the leader of the rogues has no right to be called a king. There is one more thing. ", he brought a document to me.

"This is the Alpha's claim. With the evidence we had -The council wants to give you back your alpha title so that you lead Bloodmoon pack. There's two things you can do. 1. rule with me or 2. you can rule alone but report to me like other packs. "

"If I rule with you, that pack become royal wolf land? ", I asked.

He smiled."All pack land belongs to me but if you rule with me Bloodmoon will be part of my direct land. They will benefit from me the way the royal pack does. ", he said.

"Then I'll rule with you. ", he handed me the papers and I signed them.

He was quiet. I could see that he felt bad about what happened. He'll blame himself when it's not his fault.

I brought my hand to his cheek.

"It's not your fault. Stop blaming yourself over something you have no control over. ", I gave him a soft kiss.

He smiled weakly.

I went to the meeting at 3pm.

As usual we began discussing issues in other packs.

"The breachers were a distraction so that alpha - so that Jacob could escape. We now know that we must be vigilant and on the look out for any suspicious activity. Send word to all packs around the world that Jacob is wanted wolf. "

We need to be ten steps ahead of him if we want to win.

"It's odd how your uncle escaped and you're not even making a huge fuss about it. ", Kiara spoke while everyone was leaving and it was just the two of us.

"Are you incinerating that I had something to do with his escape? "

"No Luna, I'm just saying that you're very strong to keep your emotions hidden. "

"I am so angry about this but no is to blame. we were all worried about the breachers so we forgot about Jacob. Excuse me. ", I left.

Kiara was getting on my nerves. I went to the gym to blow of some steam. I was boxing with another she-wolf when kiara came into the ring.

"Mind if I play? ", she spat. She wanted to play against me.

"No, not at all. ", I stepped out of the ring and allowed her to verse the she-wolf.

Anyone could tell that there was tension between kiara and I. Fighting her in the ring would be immature and petty.

I was walking to the treadmill when Xander grabbed my arm.

"If you aren't going to verse her, verse me? ", he said.

"Well, hello, I didn't know you were in here. ", I gave him a small peck.

He smiled.

"If I win, you mark me-", he said and I interrupted.

"If I win- you have to bake for me. ", I smirked.

"Interruptions... what am I going to do with you? ", he smirked.

"Do we have a deal? ", I asked.

He nodded and we went to the boxing ring.
"The last time we did this, I kissed you. ", he said.

"I kissed you. ", I corrected him.

He laughed and so did I. People gathered around us for the match.

"No rules. ", I said and he nodded.
