Chapter 40 – The Last Chapter

(Sam's POV)

Everything is great, no doubt about it. Liam and Melody ended up being mates and so did Lily and Tristan. Katie, Jason and their daughter Emily moved out of the pack, well actually they got kicked out because they have caused a lot of trouble, we found out that Katie and Jason wanted to over throw Noah when i was gone that's why she was kissing him and she paid Carly to do what she did, so she could get rid of me and make Noah break down and then they take over the pack.

Melody and Liam are now married and have two beautiful boys, Louis and Harry. Lily and Tristan are also married and also have two boys as well as a girl, Zayn, Niall and Jessica.

Flynn and Carly are happily married and i am now very good friends with Carly (after i found out she got paid, i thought 'well she didnt really know me so...'). They have a child and her name is Madison, she is beautiful inside and out and im glad to have her in life.

Kayla and Baylee married two weeks after Melody was born and they are still going strong with (as you know) two beautiful kids, Lily and Liam, who are now a part of my family with them being married to my kids.

There was one tiny problem, once i had had Melody i was told i could not have another child because of an injury when i was younger, after some time of thought i remembered a time when i was dating Baylee and Noah didnt like that so he attacked me and Baylee, i did feel a crack in my body but i didnt know what it was and i was fine once i had woken up so i thought nothing of it. After finding this out Noah and i went into shock because i wont be able to produce another Alpha wolf for the pack then i thought why cant we just train Tristan up and make him learn how to be one, that is why Tristan worked with Noah, so he can learn how to run the pack.

Im old now and its sad to think that i will not live forever but every good thing has to come to an end, Noah and i have given the roles of Alphas over and im very happy that it is done though sad that it means that Noah and i are coming to an end. We have planed our 'departure party' and put money away where Tristan knows to find it when the time is right. When we sat Mel, Lily, Tris and Liam down to give them a chat about the fact that we don't live forever and what our plans were for our funeral. Melody was not very happy that we were talking about it because she didnt want us gone but i told her that it was going to happen sooner or later and though there were tears she understood and is now moving on.

I can defiantly feel myself failing so i grab my phone off the bedside table,

"Honey?" Noah asks next to me on the white sheeted bed,

"Yes Hun?" i croak,

"Tell the kids to come here because i think the time is coming" he tells me,

"I just did, they are on their way and will be here in 2 minutes" i tell him in a frail voice,

"Ok"

Next thing i know the door is bursting open and in comes a crying Melody, "No mum, dad you cant, no not yet please" she bends down on my side of the bed,

I lift my hand and put it n her cheek, caressing it, "im sorry Mel, but its going to happen whether you like it or not"

Tristan, Liam and a sobbing Lily come into the room, Tristan straight away going to Noah's side whilst Liam hugs Lily at the end of the bed,

"Mum, dad" Tristan says looking like he is about to burst into tears,

"Hey son" Noah says tugging on Tris's shirt to get him to come closer, "look after the pack and be a strong leader don't let anyone put you down and don't fall keep on fighting" Noah pulls Tris into a hug,

"I will keep standing tall dad, ill do it for you, both of you" he looks up at me and i smile a weak smile but then turn to face the people at the end of the bed,

"Look after Mel, Liam or ill haunt you forever" everyone chuckles,

"Yes ma'am"

"And Lily you keep being the angel you are ok?" she nods her teary face up and down,

"Always Sam" she whispers,

I turn to face Mel "baby, Shhh don't cry, look after your brother and keep him in line when he slips, im sure Lily will do that though" i smile at Lily and she smiles back a sad smile,

"Mum don't leave me" she whispers,

"im sorry baby" i coo rubbing her back, i start to feel something in my tummy and i know its time, i turn to face Noah and he nods, "Good night Mel, good night twins and good night Tris" Noah and i tell them at the same time.

I turn to face Noah and grab his hand "i love you Noah, always have always will, good night my best friend, good night my husband and good night my love"

"I love you to honey always have always will, good night my best friend, good night my wife and good night my love" he finishes and we both lean in to have our last kiss good night.

As i lie back down pulling away from the kiss we had just shared i look back at Noah and smile weakly as does he, slowly i feel my eyes drooping shut and in the background all i can hear is sobbing and the faint 'Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep' turning into a long drawn out 'Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep' as i fall into a dark, dreamless sleep for the rest of eternity.
