Mark's POV
I walked out of the hospital with a smile on my face. The sun shone down on my skin and filled me with a warmth like how I feel when Ethan's around. My body still ached a little, but that didn't matter.
The officers came back earlier that morning and said that Kristen was going to jail for a while, so I didn't have to worry about her beating me to death as soon as I got home.
Dark hasn't said anything since I professed my love to Ethan that night. He seems to have just run back into the closet I used to push him into when I wanted him to shut up.
My wish the other night came true. It's all over.
Delilah and Ethan were waiting for me in the parking lot with huge smiles on their faces. When I got closer Ethan pulled out a red rose from behind his back. He bowed down slightly and held it out to me, causing my face to go bright red. I plucked the rose from his hand bashfully and he stood up straight again.
"May I ask why the chivalry?" I laughed slightly, smelling the rose's sweet scent.
"Well, I'm taking you, Mark Edward Fischbach, on a date." Ethan smiled confidently as I blushed even more.
Goddammit why is he so adorable?
"After you drop me off at Liam's house." Delilah chimed in. Ethan nodded.
"Right, after we drop you off at Liam's house."
I grabbed Ethan's hand and tangled our fingers together before kissing the back of his hand softly. This time it was Ethan who was blushing profusely.
"Oh my god you two cut it out, all this cuteness is gonna make me puke." Delilah joked, a smirk playing on her lips.
"Shut up Delilah!"

"So, um, I've been thinking." I began sheepishly. Ethan stared at me curiously.
We sat by a window in this little café Ethan had found. People walked past without any hurry, enjoying the pleasant weather. Ethan and I had been eating lunch and talking when I decided to tell him.
"After the officers finished interviewing me earlier this week, one of them suggested that I get my own place." I inched my hand across the table to lay it over Ethan's. "I was wondering if you'd want to move in with me." Ethan broke into a grin.
"Of course I would!" He beamed. His smile then faded slightly. "But I don't know about leaving Delilah." I smiled.
"I've already got that covered, um, I found an apartment with three bedrooms that's not super expensive, and if the three of us were all paying for rent then it would be easy to afford." I paused before adding, "if that's okay with you, of course."
Ethan nodded eagerly with a new smile on his face. "Have you talked to Delilah about this?" I nodded.
"I might've mentioned it to her."
"And?" He asked with a hopeful tone.
"She likes the idea."
