Justin’s POV:
I woke up at 6 am to get ready for my flight to London. I turned around looking for my Iphone but it was no where to be found. “Great,” I said to myself as I got out of bed and looked around my bed searching for my phone. I saw a light shine from under my bed so I knelt down and saw my phone under some clothes I had tossed.
“I’m really breaking up with you this time Justin,” I read the text to myself. I smiled and dialed Selena’s number while I walked into my restroom to get ready. “Wow you really had me convinced there” I teased Selena as I heard her answer her phone. “What are you talking about?” she asked half asleep and slurring her words. Considering I got her text at 4 in the morning, I figured she had just gone to sleep. “You texted me saying that you were really breaking up with me this time, you dork” I replied to her while I began my shower.
“ Please don’t leave” she moaned. “I’m going to miss you so much.”
“It’s only for a couple of days baby girl” I said “I’ll be back even before you start to miss me.” I assured her. “I’m going to shower then start heading out to the airport babe. Go back to sleep and text me when you wake up. I love youuu” I sang.
“Okayy,” she replied. “I love you more Jay. Muahh” She blew me a kiss before hanging up.
Selena’s POV:
I woke up at 12 in the afternoon and walked downstairs to see if my mom was home. “Hey Sel, you want some lunch?” she asked me as I sat on a chair at the counter and nodded.
“Sure momma.” I answered as she handed me a bowl of spaghetti and sat a bowl down for Brian and herself. “ Hi there,” I told Brian as he walked downstairs and sat near me.
“Sel, you know what today is?” my mom asked me all choked up. I didn’t even want to think about it. Two years ago today, we lost Scarlett. My eyes watered up at the thought of the dreadful day.
Justin and I were having dinner together when my step dad, Brian, called me crying hysterically. “Sel,” he paused. I could hear the cracking in his voice. “We lost the baby.” he cried “Please come to the hospital quickly. Your mom needs you here.” I stood there in silence while tears started filling my eyes. “What is it Sel?” Justin asked me confused. “M-my mom, she lost the baby,” I blurted out in disbelief. Justin quickly wrapped his arms around me while I cried onto his shoulder. He put my jacket over me to hide me from the paparazzi and led to the car as we headed to the hospital.
“Yeah,” I replied to my mom wondering why she was bringing it up. “Well Brian and I have been talking and we were think about adopting a baby. What do you think about it?” she asked me.
I was shocked at what they told me but I knew that they have been wanting a baby for a very long time and I have always wanted a little brother or sister. Seeing the way Justin was with Jazzy and Jaxon made me a bit jealous of him because he had them and I didn’t have anybody. “Umm I guess that would be really cool mom.” I replied still not sure if this was a good idea. I feel like we would be trying to replace Scarlett but I know Scarlett would never be replaced, the family was just going to grow with Scarlett still in all of our hearts.
“We wanted to go down to a foster and adoption home that is near here today,” my mom told me while holding Brian’s hand with a huge smile on her face. I knew she was excited about this and I was started to get excited at the idea of having a new brother or sister. “ Really? Today?” I asked at how soon she wanted to go.
“Yes, we have an appointment today at 4 and we really want you to come with us” she replied. “Uhh yeah of course I’ll go momma.” I said as I got up to text Justin about the news. I didn’t know how to feel about this and I needed to talk to Justin asap.
“My parents just told me that they want to adopt a baby” I texted Justin waiting eagerly to get a text back from Justin. Just then I saw a call from Justin coming in. “Are you serious baby?!” he asked. “That’s great! Your finally going to be a sister!” he yelled excitedly.
“You really think that it’s a good idea?” I asked him still not sure if this was the right thing to do. “Of course! Your parents have so much love to give and you have always wanted to be an older sister Sel! Come on and get excited. You know this is going to be amazing.” he reassured me. “Yeah your right” I smiled at the thought of holding my new baby brother or sister.
“Our lives are all about to change” I told Justin. “I’m so nervous but excited at the same time. I’m finally going to be a sister.” I sighed. “You are going to be an amazing sister” Justin said. “Get prepared for a great new chapter of your life baby.”
“Are you in London yet? I asked trying to change the conversation. “Yeah we landed a couple of hours ago. Scooter says I have an hour break until I start my interviews.” he said to me. Justin went to London for some press tours to promote his new album Believe.
“Okay babe, well I’ll call you later. We are going to the foster and adoption place in an hour so I have to get ready” I said to him. “I love you and call me when you’re done with all your interviews” I told him before hanging up. “I will” he replied. “I love you too and good luck.”
Justin’s POV:
“What’s going on?” Scooter asked as I hung up the phone with Selena. “Oh, umm nothing,” I replied not wanting to tell him the big news that Selena just told me until it was official. “Okay kid well your break is almost up” Scooter says as we hop into the car to go to the first interview of the day.
I can’t believe all this is happening to Selena and her family and I can’t be there to experience it with them. I know Selena is beyond excited and I just wished I could be there with her. I hope this next 2 days go by fast so I can be with Selena and her new little brother or sister. Images of her holding her new brother and sister started going through my head and I can see that beautiful smile of hers just light up. These days need to go by fast.
