Get Through This Together Part 54

Selena’s POV:

“Do you think Fredo is going to like the dress?” Sophia asked as we headed back to the hotel.

“He’s going to love it Sophia. You looked beautiful in it.” I reassured her.

“Well you and mom looked pretty damn hot in your dresses too!” Sophia smiled. Sophia and I convinced my mom to buy the eggplant colored dress that I had showed her and I bought an off white, one shoulder dress that I absolutely fell in love with. We all giggled as we pulled up to the hotel.

“Did you already tell the hotel that we’re going to be staying here longer?” Sophia asked my mom. Due to the fact the Lily was in constant pain, there was no way that they were going to be able to leave back to California until she fully healed so they had to stay in Canada for a week or so.

“Yeah sweetie. We already got that arranged.” my mom told her as we got out of the car. I wrapped my arm around Sophia’s arm as we walked inside the hotel but the paparazzi soon caught up to us. Sophia and I kept our heads down as my mom led us to the door, trying to push the paps aside.

“Selena! Selena! We heard about your niece. How does it feel to be such a bad aunt?! How does it feel that your niece went to the hospital because of you?!” they yelled to me. Those words hurt me deeply and I couldn’t take it anymore.

“Leave her alone!” Sophia yelled back at them, shoving them out of my way until we finally reached the doors to the hotel.

As soon as I entered the hotel, I let go of Sophia’s arm and darted for the restroom that was in the lobby. I just couldn’t hold it in anymore. As soon as I entered the restroom, I quickly locked the door behind me, thankful that there was nobody else in there, and broke down. I sat in the corner of the room, huddled up in a ball, crying hysterically as the images of Lily’s accident played in my head. I was a horrible aunt. I was a horrible person. How could I be so irresponsible? I suddenly felt like I couldn’t breath anymore. I gasped and gasped for air but I didn’t feel like I was getting any oxygen.

“Selena open the door!” I heard Sophia knocking on the other door, but there was no way I could move. The room began to spin and everything started dimming. “Selena, honey open the door,” I heard my mom say. I tried to move closer to the door but then everything went dark and I felt my head hit the floor.

Sophia’s POV:

Selena had locked herself inside the restroom as soon as we entered the hotel and we still couldn’t convince her to open the door. My mom asked one of the clerks if they could open the door. As soon as the lady opened the door, I saw Selena laying on the floor, passed out. My mom and I quickly ran to her, trying to shake her awake but there was no response. We could here her trying to gasp for air. I grabbed a towel from the counter and quickly soaked it in cold water before I put it on her face, trying to find a way to wake her up.

“Sel wake up baby,“ my mom shook her as she gently tapped on her cheek. I threw some water on her again and then her eyes finally fluttered open.

“Are you ok?” I asked, helping her sit up. “What happened? Are you sick?”

“N-no. I think I had a panic attack. I felt like I couldn’t breath and everything just went dark. How long was I out?” she asked.

“Like two minutes,” my mom said. “Why were you having a panic attack?” she asked.

“W-well with everything that the paps told me, it really hurt me. I-I just couldn’t handle the fact that I was so irresponsible with Lily,” she said. Just then we heard a knock on the door and saw Justin come in.
