Justin’s POV:
We all stood there frozen as we saw the van take off with Sophia. Selena quickly ran into Brian and Mandy’s arms crying hysterically. “What do we do?!” Selena yelled.
“Alfredo call the police,” Brian instructed him while he carried Lily who was also crying hysterically.
“No! He said he would kill her if we called the police!” Selena yelled to Brian.
“Selena calm down. How is he gonna know if we call the police or not? Nobody else is helping him and he’s gone. He’s not going to find out.” Brian reassured her.
“Mommy I want Sophia!” Lily cried. Mandy, still crying, grabbed her from Brian and took her to the car.
“The police are on their way,” Fredo told us. Selena ran into my arms still crying and trembling. “We’re going to get her back baby. Shh. It’s ok, calm down,” I told her trying to calm her down. I had never seen her cry that hard before.
“J-Justin why do horrible things always happen to her?” she stuttered.
“I don’t know baby. I know it’s not fair. I’m so sorry,” I told her.
“Why are you sorry?” she asked confused.
“Because I promised you that I would take care of her and Lily and now look what happened,” I told her feeling guilty and began to cry. Selena grabbed my face so I could look at her and said, “Justin this isn’t your fault. Don’t blame yourself. I just want my baby sister back,” she cried.
Fredo came up to me and Selena with tears still in his eyes. Selena quickly turned around a gave him a hug while she continued to cry. Fredo still didn’t say anything. He just cried with Selena.
Selena’s POV:
The cops finally showed up and got off of their cars. Brian and my mom ran to them to explain everything that happened. Fredo went to the car to be with Lily while Justin and I walked towards the cops. We gave them all the information that they needed to know and then they sent out an Amber Alert.
“Is there anything we can do?” Justin asked one of the cops.
“Well since you and Ms. Gomez are really popular and you have a lot of people that read what you post on the internet, you can help spread the information around so people can keep a look out of Sophia and Josh.” the officer said. I was about to grab my phone to send out a tweet but then I remembered that I gave my phone to Sophia so maybe somehow we can trace it.
“My phone!” I yelled out loud. Everybody turned to look at me. “I put my phone in Sophia’s back pocket before Josh took her. Maybe you can trace where it is!” I explained.
Some of the officers that were in charge of the technology stuff quickly grabbed their laptops to see if they can trace my phone to find where Sophia was.
Justin and Fredo took out their phones and started tweeting.
Selena’s sister, Sophia, was kidnapped tonight at around 10 p.m. She’s seventeen years old, 5’4, brown hair, brown eyes. She was taken by Josh Thomas who escaped from jail. They drove off in a white van. License plate number 372KSW. If seen, please call the cops immediately. Retweet and get this information out. Please help.
I borrowed Justin’s phone and tweeted the same things to my followers. Immediately, the story was all over the news. Bring Sophia home started trended worldwide and we had a lot of retweets.
“We can’t trace the phone,” one of the officers said. Then I remembered that I had turned off my phone while we were eating because it was about to die.
“Damnit!” I yelled. “My phone is off!”
Everybody sighed in disappointment. “I’m sorry,” I cried, hugging my mom.
Sophia’s POV:
I woke up with a huge headache and blood all over my face. My feet and hands were tied together with duct tape. I was leaning up against the wall in a small room where all the windows were covered up. I looked around for Josh but I didn’t see him anywhere. I decided to try and look out the window to see if I recognized where I was.
I slowly got up, trying to be as quiet as possible and hopped towards the window. I moved the newspaper that was covering the window with my elbow and peeked outside. I knew where I was. We were at an abandoned house that was near an old warehouse near our house. I wasn’t that far from home.
I hopped back to where I was sitting, when I felt something in my pocket. “Selena’s phone,” I whispered to myself, remembering that Selena gave me her phone. I quickly brought my hands to my mouth to try and take off the tape.
After a couple of minutes of pulling, trying to take off the tape, it finally came off. I quickly took off the tape that was wrapped around my legs and grabbed Selena’s phone. I turned it on, hoping that it wouldn’t make noise. It turned on and then I saw that it only had 5 percent of battery left.
“Great,” I said to myself. I quickly went to her contacts and dialed the first person that I saw. Of course it was Justin.
Justin’s POV:
We were all still trying everything we could to get Sophia back to us safely. Everybody was talking about Sophia. The news, Twitter, Facebook, every other social network, was covering the story, doing everything they could to help. I was hugging Selena in my arms when I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out of my pocket and saw that Selena was calling.
“Sel, your phone is calling me!” I yelled to her. She looked up at me looking very scared. Brian, Mandy, Fredo, and the cops all got near me and the cops told me to put it on speaker when I answered it.
“Justin?” we heard Sophia whisper. Everybody’s face lit up when they heard her voice.
“Sophia! Where are you?! Are you ok?!” Selena asked her immediately.
“I’m ok. My head is bleeding pretty badly though. I don’t know where Josh is, but I’m in a room with the windows covered up,” she whispered.
“Sophia, sweetie, do you know where you are?” Mandy cried.
“I hopped to the window and moved the newspaper that was covering the window and I recognized where I am mom. I’m at that abandoned house that’s near that old warehouse that’s two blocks away from the house.” she explained.
We suddenly heard somebody yelling and then we heard a door open. We heard a lot of commotion and then we heard someone breathing on the phone.
“I told you I would kill her if you called the cops.” Josh said.
We heard Sophia scream and then the call ended.
