Selena’s POV:
“Selena you promised not to say anything,” Sophia told me as I pulled up to her high school. She wiped the tears from her face and got off the car. “Bye,” she whispered as she closed the door and walked up to a group of her friends.
How can I not tell my parents about this? I have to tell them. I can’t keep this from them but I promised Sophia and I don’t want to lose her trust. I don’t want her to hate me or worse, leave us. I just finally had her in my life and I couldn’t risk losing her again.
Sophia’s POV:
I couldn’t believe I just told Selena my biggest secret ever. I felt like I could trust her and I needed to tell somebody about Lily or I was going to go crazy. Nobody knew about Lily except for Ms. Scott, the hospital nurse and doctor that went to the foster and adoption home when I got pregnant and when I had Lily, and my home school teacher that would go and give me school lessons while I was pregnant with Lily. Ms. Scott didn’t want anybody else to find out about me.
“Hey Sophia!” my friends, Hannah and Emily yelled out when they saw me getting off of Selena’s car. “Hey,” I said as I forced a smile on my face. “You didn’t take the bus today?” Emily asked me. “No,” I said. “Who dropped you off then?” she asked again. “Just a friend,” I replied.
“That didn’t look like any friend,” Hannah added, “that looked like Selena Gomez.” “Yeah right,” Emily laughed. I turned around and starting walking towards my class ignoring what Emily and Hannah just told me. I didn’t feel like telling them everything just yet.
Justin’s POV:
“Hey baby what’s up?” I asked Selena when she called. “I’m going over your place,” she informed me. “Ok babe,” I replied and then I heard a knock on my door.
“That was quick.” I joked as Selena walked into my house. “What’s up?” I asked her. She seemed pretty freaked out. “You ok?
“Yeah I’m fine,” Selena told me as she sat on my couch. “You hungry babe?” I asked her while I walked into the kitchen. I felt like she wasn’t telling me something but I figured she would eventually tell me once she wanted to. “No thanks, I just ate some breakfast at home,” she told me.
I sat down next to her and gently kissed her on her lips. She put her hand on my head and began pulling on my hair. I laid her down on the couch and began kissing her on her neck. She put her lips on mine again and then bit my bottom lip.
Selena’s POV:
I began kissing Justin to try and keep my mind off of everything but after about 5 minutes of kissing, my phone started ringing. I didn’t recognize the number but I picked it up anyways. “Hello?” I said.
“Sel, it’s Sophia”
“Sophia, what’s wrong?” I asked worried getting up off the couch. “Selena, calm down everything is fine.” she told me. “Mandy left me a list of ya’lls numbers if I ever needed anything and I would try calling Mandy or Brian but I figured they were busy right now,” she explained.
“What do you need Soph?” I asked. “Who’s phone is this?”
“It’s my friend’s cell phone, don’t worry I’ll delete your number when I hang up.” she told me. “You don’t have a cell phone?” I asked her.
“Sel, I’ve been in a foster home all my life. You really think they would buy me a cell phone?” she asked.
“I’ll go buy you one later today,” I told her.
“You don’t have to do that,” she said. “I’ve been fine without one.”
“What did I say before Sophia? I’m going to spoil you and Lily rotten,” I joked trying to release some of the tension we had.
“Anyway,” Sophia continued, “I forgot to tell you all that I had a softball game tonight at 7 here at my high school but I forgot my softball bag in the back of your car. You all don’t have to come if you don’t want to but can you please drop off my bag as soon as you can?” she asked me.
“Yeah of course I’ll drop it off in a bit and trust me, we will all be there!” I told her excitedly. “I’ll be at your school in a bit.” I told her before hanging up.
“Wanna go with me to drop something off at Sophia‘s school?” I asked Justin. “Sure,” he said and we headed to her school.
-
We got to Sophia’s school and headed towards the office to see what room she was in. Justin and I were wearing sunglasses and caps so we wouldn’t cause a chaos. “Hi I’m here to drop off this bag for my little sister.” I told the secretary.
“What’s her name?” she asked. “Sophia Lynn Gomez,” I told her “she‘s a Senior.”
“She’s in room 313,” she told me and with that me and Justin went to look for the room.
Sophia’s POV:
My teacher was talking to us about the Civil War when we heard a knock on the door.
“Come in!” my teacher yelled and the door opened. Everybody began to gasp when they saw Selena and Justin at the door. “Oh my god!!” everybody yelled while I slouched down in my seat.
“Uhh, sorry for interrupting,” Selena told my teacher, “I’m here to drop off this bag for Sophia,” she said. I heard everybody whispering wondering why Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were here dropping something off for me. I stood up and walked to the door.
“Thank you,” I told her grabbing the bag from her. “Hi Justin,” I told him and gave him a hug. “Hey kid,” he teased before walking out of the room. “Did you tell him?” I asked Selena, embarrassed.
“Of course I didn’t Soph. I promised you I wouldn’t but we are going to have to talk about this later,” she told me. I felt tears starting to come out of my eyes but I quickly wiped them off. Selena wrapped her arms around me. “We’re gonna get through this together Sophia. Don’t worry.” she told me before leaving. “Bye Sel,” I whispered before going to sit back at my desk.
“So that was Selena Gomez who dropped you off!” Hannah yelled while I walked back to my seat. “How do you know her?” everybody asked. “I don’t wanna talk about it. Just please leave me alone, guys” I told everybody and then my teacher continued talking about the Civil War.
Justin’s POV:
I heard Sophia ask Selena if she told me something. I’m guessing that’s what had been bugging Selena.
“What was Sophia talking about?” I asked Selena getting into her car. “What do you mean?” she asked back. “I heard her asking you if you told me something.” I replied.
“Oh. I can’t really talk about it right now Justin,” she told me. “It’s something about Sophia and her life but she made me promise her that I wouldn’t tell anybody. I’ll tell you when she’s ready to talk about it.” she explained.
“Okay babe,” I simply replied.
“Hey Sophia has a softball game tonight. You think you would want to go like you told her you would? I think it would make her really happy if you went.” she said.
“Of course I’ll go babe. I’m going to paint my face and yell just like I said I would,” I laughed.
“Oh gosh this is going to be interesting,” she giggled. “Let’s see how this goes!”
