Selena’s POV:
“I don’t feel all that great with our costars,” I admitted to Justin, walking into his trailer with him.
“Well neither do I, especially because your ex-boyfriend is playing your boyfriend, how do you think I feel?” he asked me, his eyes looking really upset.
“Babe you have nothing to worry about, I promise,” I told him, kissing him on the cheek and then he finally let out a smile. “There’s that beautiful smile,” I teased, grabbing some water from the fridge. “Lily really seemed excited to meet you,” I told him.
“Is somebody jealous?” Justin teased, wrapping his arms from behind me, then kissing my head.
“No,” I said immediately. “I just don’t like that twinkle in her eye when she looks at you. It makes me…uneasy,” I said, not wanting to admit that I was jealous.
“I think that means you’re jealous Ms. Gomez,” Justin giggled in my ear.
“Justin stop making fun of me!” I yelled, playfully punching his arm.
“Ok! Ok!” he said, rubbing his arm, acting like I really hurt him.
“I’m gonna go to the restroom,” I said, walking to the back of the trailer. After I finished doing my business, I walked to the front of the trailer and saw that Justin was talking on the phone.
“Ok. I’ll see you soon. I love you and miss you,” he said and then hung up the phone.
“Who were you talking to?” I asked.
“Lily,” he said, putting his phone into his pocket and standing up from the couch.
“W-what? You told Lily that you loved her!? Why are you going to see her soon!?” I yelled. “Are you going somewhere with her?!”
“I meant Lily, your niece, Selena. I called Fredo and Lily picked up the phone so I talked to her.” he explained. Man did I feel like a dumbass.
“Oh,” is all I could say. I felt my face getting hot. “I’m sorry.”
“Selena how can you think that I would say that to Lily Collins? You honestly think that something is going to happen between us?” he asked, looking really hurt by my reaction.
“N-no Justin. I don’t know what came over me. I’m sorry. I know you would never do that,” I said apologetically. Just then we heard a knock on the door and Justin went over and opened it.
“Hey Justin!” I heard Lily say eagerly. My stomach began to turn. Why is she here?
“Hey,” I heard him say back.
“Taylor and I thought it would be cool for all of us to go out and eat and get to know each other better. Do you and Selena wanna go?” she asked him. Justin looked over to me.
“Do you wanna go?” he asked. I thought about it. Did I really want to go? No, but I guess it wouldn’t hurt.
“Sure,” I whispered back to him.
“Yeah we’ll go,” he told Lily. “Great, we’ll meet you all out her in ten minutes,” she said and then Justin closed the door.
“You know we don’t have to go if you don’t want to,” Justin told me, sitting down and pulling me onto his lap.
“No. I want to.” I told him. We talked for a few more minutes and then walked out of the trailer to meet up with Lily and Taylor.
“Ready to go?” Taylor asked us, looking straight into my eyes. It made me feel kind of uncomfortable. “Ready,” I said, smiling back. We all got in the black Tahoe that was going to take us to dinner. We drove in silence, everybody felt very uncomfortable, and then I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I quickly took it out and saw that Sophia was calling me.
“Hey Soph!” I said excitedly while everybody listened to my conversation.
“Hey Sel, how are you? I miss you!” she said back.
“I’m fine. I’m actually on my way to dinner right now. How are you?” I asked.
“I’m good. I’m going to go talk to my college advisor tomorrow. He’s coming from Texas. I’m pretty excited,” she said back.
“Well that’s great Soph. I hope everything goes well. I’m sure you’ll get in,” I said back, feeling uneasy that everybody was still silent but me.
“Did you fins out who your costars are already?” she asked. I began to blush, hoping that they couldn’t here her talking.
“Yeah, but I’ll tell you everything tomorrow ok?” I tried giving her the hint.
“Umm sure,” she said. “Can I talk to Justin?”
“Sure. I’ll talk to you later Soph. I love you.,” I told her.
“I love you too Sel,” she said and then I handed the phone to Justin.
“Soph wants to talk to you,” I said, handing him the phone.
“Hey Soph! What’s up?” Justin said loudly in the car as I looked out the window.
“Oh yeah Sel, I heard about you and your family. I’m really happy that you found your sister,” Taylor told me, smiling that smile of his.
“Thanks,” I said back, smiling. I grabbed Justin’s phone since he was on mine and looked through his pictures. “This is her and my niece Lily,” I told him, showing a picture of them hugging Justin.
“Wow, she’s really cute,” Taylor laughed.
“And Lily has an awesome name,” Lily added.
“Haha yeah,” I told Lily. “And she’s actually engaged so back off buddy,” I teased Taylor.
“Is he the baby daddy?” Lily asked coldly, making Sophia seem like some kind of slut for being a mother a such a young age.
“Actually no, he’s mine and Justin’s best friend and he’s stepping up to be Lily’s father.” I snapped back with an attitude. “Her life is pretty complicated and I’d rather not get into it,” I said, grabbing Justin’s hand and looking out the window again.
“Ok Soph, give Lily a kiss for me. I love you too. Bye,” Justin said and then gave me my phone back.
“Well if you want to give Lily a kiss, I’m right her Justin,” Lily teased him. The heat in my face began to rise and I’m sure you could see the anger in my eyes.
“Are you really saying that to my boyfriend right now?!” I yelled to her.
“Whoa Selena calm down, it was just a joke,” Lily said defensively.
“Baby calm down,” Justin whispered in my ear. “Please.” He grabbed my hand and began soothing my knuckles with his thumb. I turned around to face him and then he kissed my forehead.
“I’m sorry Selena,. I really didn’t mean-”
“Lily just stop talking,” Taylor interrupted her, finally making her shut her mouth.
These next few months were going to be VERY interesting.
