Justin’s POV:
“Aunt Seena loves Jazzy more than me!” Lily yelled, then hid her face in Fredo’s neck. Selena looked really hurt and upset when she heard Lily say that.
“Don’t be a baby!” Jazzy told Lily, making fun at Lily because she was crying.
“Hey Jazzy no! You don’t say that,” I told her, getting after her. Lily began crying even more. Selena gave Jazzy to me and walked towards Lily.
“Lily, don’t say that,” she whispered to her, rubbing Lily’s back. “I love both of you the same,” she said.
“No you don’t! You’ve been with her all day!” she cried again. Staying hidden in Fredo’s neck.
“Lily I don’t get to see Jazzy all the time baby. That’s why I’m spending so much time with her. I see you everyday,” Selena tried to explain to her. Lily stayed silent. Selena looked over to Sophia for some help.
“Lily, listen to Aunt Seena,” Sophia instructed but Lily still didn’t move.
“Lily c’mon. Don’t be mean,” Fredo told her. Still nothing.
Selena grabbed Lily’s arms to try and carry her but Lily pulled away. “No I don’t wanna go with you!” she yelled.
“Lillian Alison you better change that attitude or we’re going home!” Sophia yelled at Lily, frustrated at the way she was acting.
“Good! I wanna go home!” Lily bit back. I had never seen Lily this upset ever.
“Justin, I don’t wanna go home,” Jazzy told me. I looked over to Selena to see if we were going to go home after all.
“No, we’re staying,” Sophia told me. “She’ll get over it.”
“Yay!” Jazzy smiled. “Can we go to the next ride?” she asked.
“Sure. Let’s go,” I told her, putting her on my shoulders again.
Selena’s POV:
I was really hurt by the way Lily was acting towards me but I tried to act like I was fine so that Jazzy and Jaxon could enjoy the rest of the day. I walked over to Justin and grabbed his hand.
“You ok baby?” he whispered to me. I simply nodded my head, no, looking down at the floor. He wrapped his arm around me and kissed my head, understanding how I was feeling.
“This ride!” Jazzy said, pointing to the Haunted Mansion ride. We all went into the line.
“Lily, you wanna ride with me?” I asked her, hoping that she would say yes.
“No,” she whispered, still hugging Fredo tightly.
“Lily change you’re attitude or you are going to be grounded,” Sophia threatened. Lily just began crying again.
“I’m sorry she’s acting like this Sel,” Sophia told me, grabbing my hand.
“It’s ok,” I told her, getting on the ride with Jazzy, Justin, and Jaxon.
We spent a couple of more hours at Disneyland before we decided that it was time to go home.
“Did you have fun?” Justin asked Jazzy and Jaxon.
“Yes!” they both yelled, still wearing their Mickey ears.
“How about you Lil?” he asked. Lily just stared out the window, her eyes red and puffy from her crying.
The rest of the ride, we were all quiet.
-
We finally got home after a long day at Disneyland. Jazzy and Jaxon had fallen asleep on the road so Justin and I carried them inside.
“Hey! How was Disneyland?” my mom, who was sitting in the living room with Justin’s parents and grandparents, asked us. Lily ran into the house and went straight to her room.
“What’s wrong with Lily?” she asked confused.
“She’s mad at me,” I told her, giving Jaxon to his dad while Justin handed Jazzy to his mom.
“Why?” Brian asked me.
“She kind of got jealous that Jazzy and I were together all the time at Disneyland,” I explained, as Fredo brought Sophia inside the house and into the living room.
“Mom you have a stubborn granddaughter,” Sophia said, frustrated. Everybody let out a quiet laugh, trying not to wake Jazzy and Jaxon up.
“Well we’re gonna get going. We have an early flight tomorrow,” Pattie told us, getting up from the couch.
We all said our goodbyes to Justin’s family and then they left. Justin and Fredo went with them to spend one last night together before they went back to Canada.
“Sel, are you ok?” Sophia asked me, pulling herself on the couch next to me.
“I will be when Lily starts talking to me,” I told her, as Sophia leaned her head on my shoulder.
“What’s up with Lily?” my dad asked, sitting down on the couch with us while my mom followed.
“She got really jealous because Selena and Jazzy were always together,” Sophia explained.
Lily came downstairs already in her pajamas and grabbed her Nintendo D.S.
“Uh uh. No! I said you were grounded Lily. Leave that D.S there, kiss grandma, grandpa, and Aunt Seena goodnight and go straight to bed,” Sophia instructed.
“But mommy!” Lily cried.
“No! Straight to bed. If I see you playing with toys, you’re going to be grounded for a longer time. Do you understand me?” Sophia asked. Lily nodded her head up and down while she rubbed her eyes.
“Goodnight grandma, goodnight grandma,” Lily said, giving them each a kiss.
“Goodnight baby girl,” they said, giving her a hug.
“Goodnight mommy,” she told Sophia, giving her a kiss. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Sophia said, kissing Lily’s forehead. I looked at Lily to see if she was going to say goodnight to me too. She slowly turned around and walked to me.
“Goodnight Aunt Seena,” Lily whispered, looking down at the floor.
“Goodnight Lily,” I whispered, wrapping my arms around her. As soon as I wrapped my arms around her, Lily began to cry hysterically into my chest, hugging me tighter.
“I’m sorry for acting ugly,” Lily cried, apologizing. “I don’t wanna lose you Aunt Seena.”
“Lily, look at me,” I told her, grabbing her face so that she could look at me, “You are never going to lose me sweetheart. Why would you think that you were going to lose me baby girl?” I asked confused.
“I had a dream that you left with Justin, Jazzy, and Jaxon back to Canada,” she admitted, still crying. It all made sense now why Lily was acting so strange and jealous of Jazzy.
“Lily,” I giggled, “that was just a dream baby. That’s never going to happen. And if it does, I’ll be sure to take you with me,” I joked. Lily finally got a smile on her face.
“I love you Seena.” Lily whispered.
“I love you too Lil,” I said, hugging her.
She sat down on my lap and laid her head on my chest until she fell asleep in my arms.
