Selena’s POV:
It had been about three weeks since the court date and Sophia and I were just glad to have the past put behind us. She and Fredo decided that they would wait a couple of years until an actual wedding but for now, they would continue to be engaged. Fredo and Lily had been inseparable ever since he proposed to Sophia and Lily had done really well with accepting her new parents.
Justin and I, however, have not been doing so well. He’s been swamped with work and it seems like every time we are apart, we start arguing. He called and told me to be ready by 8 tonight. It was a surprise. I was hoping that we could finally sit down and talk about everything.
Justin’s POV:
I called Selena and told her to be ready by 8. I was hoping that we could finally spend some time together. I don’t think she realizes that ever since Sophia and Lily came into the picture, I haven’t been truly alone with her at all. I’m not necessarily jealous but I still miss my girlfriend and I want to spend quality time with her. So tonight, I planned something really special.
“You hanging out with Sophia and Lily tonight?” I asked Fredo as I began to get dressed for mine and Selena’s date.
“Not tonight. Sophia wasn’t feeling well because of her therapy and now she’s getting sick too because Lily has been sick these past couple of days, so they’re both staying in bed for the night,” he explained to me. “Where are you heading?” he asked.
“I planned something special for Selena and I to spend some time to ourselves.” I told him. “We’ve been arguing a lot and I think it’s because we haven’t had anytime alone so I decided to take her out tonight,” I explained. I finished buttoning up the black buttoned up shirt that I put on and then slipped on my shoes. “See you later bro,” I told Fredo as I headed out the door.
“Have fun!” he yelled. I got into my range rover and heading to Selena’s house to pick her up.
Selena’s POV:
“How do I look?” I asked Sophia and Lily who were laying down in bed together. I was wearing a short black dress that Justin had bought me a few weeks ago with my hair in curls, pinned back together.
“You look beautiful Aunt Seena!” Lily exclaimed and then began coughing horribly.
“Maybe I shouldn’t go out with Justin tonight so I can take care of you all,” I told them, feeling guilty that I was going out while they were both sick in bed.
“No!” Sophia yelled. “We’ll be fine. You go and spend some time with Justin. I know he misses just being with you alone,” she told me.
“Fine.” I replied and then we heard the doorbell ring.
“It’s for you,” Sophia teased.
“You guys get some rest so you can feel better tomorrow,” I told Sophia and Lily as I gave them both a kiss and then went downstairs to answer the door.
Justin’s POV:
I rang the doorbell to Selena’s house and then waited a couple of seconds before Selena opened the door. “Wow. You look beautiful Selena,” I told her, mesmerized by her beauty. Her cheeks began to blush as I wrapped my arms around her.
“Thank you,” she whispered in my ear and then gave me a kiss. “You look handsome.”
“Well thank you lovely lady.” I teased, “Ready to go baby?” I asked.
“Ready,” she replied and then I escorted her to the range rover. I opened the door for her and helped her get in and then I walked over to the drivers side.
