P.O.V -» Sasha

The smell of alcohol and teenagers sweat wafted through the air. Laughter rang in my ears as I turned around to see my friends laughing at Jacob puking his guts into the nearby sink. "Suck it up princess." Addison said from beside me.

Addison Emerson, my best friend since we were little, loved to make fun of people that couldn't hold their alcohol. Especially if it was one of our friends.

I wouldn't say that Addison and I were popular, but a lot of people knew our names around school. Some would call us sisters we were that close. You couldn't get Addison without Sasha. I sometimes wonder if it annoys her that I'm always around, but every time I mention it she gives me a speech telling me how much I mean to her.

"Don't zone out on me Sash. The party supplies haven't arrived yet." She nudge my arm with her elbow, taking me out of my daze.

"Sorry. I just hate seeing people puke." I laughed as I glanced at Jacob now sitting on the floor of the kitchen we were currently standing in. I'm still sure that it would of been easier to wait out back where there weren't so many people than in the kitchen where people are occasionally coming in and getting their drinks to go get drunk on the dance floor.

Oh and yes, party supplies means drugs. It's a high school party, what did you expect.

Grabbing a bottle of water from the counter, I handed it down to Jacob with a sarcastic smile. "Drink up." He nodded in return and held the bottle up to his lips.

"Leave it to Sasha to be the only decent person in this group." A deep voice said from the entrance door of the kitchen. Patrick leaned on the archway with his arms crossed; wearing skinny jeans, a plain black shirt and a smirk. "And leave it to Jacob to pass out drunk at his own party." We all turned out heads to see him passed out with the water bottle spilling on his Rick And Morty shirt.

"I'm only helping him so I don't have to see him throw up again."

"Right, enough about him. You got the stuff?" Addison spoke whilst she was tying up her turquoise coloured hair. Patrick reached into his back pocket and pulled out two bags filled with a green substance. A couple of cheers came from the boys as they set aside their drinks and walked past Patrick, into the crowd.

As I started to walk out with everybody I turned to see Addison wasn't by my side. I walked back into the kitchen finding her staring off into space like she was paralysed. I lightly shook her shoulders. "Addy?" Her green eyes darted and stared deeply into my brown ones. "You ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." She slightly shook her head as her hands reached up to tighten her pony tail. She looked back to where she was looking before with fear and longing. "I'll catch up with you guys. I've just got to do something." She quickly hugged me then darted out of the kitchen to get lost in the sea of teenagers.

"You coming?" I jumped. Patrick lightly laughed as he walked back into the kitchen. "Your so jumpy. You coming with us or are you going to stay here to babysit Jacob?" Nodding in the direction of the passed out host.

"Im coming." The music got louder as I walked past the crowd. Patrick took my hand to make sure I wouldn't get lost. He opened the door to the basement before we started to ascend down the wooden, possibly unstable, staircase.

The basement was the man cave of the house. There was a pool table on one side, a TV attached to the wall that for some reason always had sports playing, and a bunch of couches and beanies to sit and smoke on.

We took a seat on the only available couch as two girls started to roll the joints. "You having one?" Patrick asked as he picked up a already rolled one from the coffee table.

"No thanks. I'm good tonight."

"But you always have one." A boy, Alex, said from the couch across from us. He already looked higher than the clouds.

"Well I kind of don't want to go home with my breath smelling of weed as I tell my father, who is a cop, that I didn't do anything other than dance. Plus, he got pissed at me because I came home drunk last weekend, I don't need to give him another reason to yell at me."

"Fair enough. Where's Addison?"

"She had to take care of something. I don't know what, so don't bother asking." I leaned back on the comfortable couch. Patrick seemed oblivious to the conversation as he continued to smoke his joint.

"She's probably finding a cuddle buddy!" Another boy, Luke, yelled from the pool table. I reached over, took the pillow Patrick was leaning on and pegged it at Luke, hitting him square in the face.

The door to the basement opened and my hopes of it being Addison were crushed when I saw the soaking wet Rick And Morty shirt. Where is she?

"Jacob buddy! You finally sobered up enough to get off the floor." Luke threw the pillow at him. I pulled out my phone and decided to text her.

10:30pm Sasha: Where are you? I thought you said you'll catch up with us.

The phone vibrated the moment I put it back in my pocket.

10:30pm Addy: Don't worry about me. Just go home ok. I'm fine.

"Who is it?" Patrick blew smoke into my face as he spoke.

"Uh, just my dad." I lied. "Hey, I'm going to go. I don't want to be sleep deprived at school tomorrow when we have a science exam."

"Aw. Don't go Sasha Bear, the fun was only getting started." Alex said, trying to do vape tricks with his smoke. Idiot. Without another word, I started walking up the stairs, hearing the goodbyes from behind me, and leaving the house to drive home.

Hopefully dad isn't awake so he won't smell the smoke on my clothes.

School went slower than usual. Addison never showed up, which was expected, but I had the constant feeling of eyes on me and the feeling I had to do something.

I finally found comfort when I arrived home to see dads car in the driveway.

"I'm home!" I yelled, opening the door. I quickly ran upstairs, threw my bag in my room then ran back downstairs to get my afternoon snack of corn chips.

"Sasha, can you come in here please." My dad called from the living room. I walked around the corner and stood in the archway.

Sitting on the couch were Mr and Mrs Emerson. Mrs. Emerson looked like she was on the verge of tears and Mr. Emerson rubbed her back slowly. I nodded a greeting to them before I looked at my dad who was sitting on the other side of the couch, looking at me.

"What's going on?"

"I just want to ask you a couple of questions." My dad gestured to take a seat on the armchair across from him. "Was Addison drinking at the party last night?"

"Only a little bit." Fear started tickling my spine.

"Where did she go after the party?"

"I don't know. She told me she had to do something then never came back. Why? What happened?" I frantically looked between the adults.

My dad took a deep sigh before looking me dead in the eye. "Sasha, Addison never went home last night and isn't answering any calls. She's missing."
