I barged into the room with Patrick hot on my trail. Standing in the room was Mrs. Emerson, Mr. Emerson and a couple of police officers. The room was completely trashed. The mattress was across the room, the bookshelf was completely pushed over, her desk was toppled over and missing a leg, her curtains were torn off, there were two holes in the wall next to her closet and above her bed was a message in red spray paint.YOU'RE STILL IN DEBT BITCH.
"... And I came home to find the door open and the room completely trashed." Mrs. Emerson was explaining to a policeman whilst trying to hold back the tears that threatened to roll down her face. I placed my hand on her shoulder in a comforting matter, but it only made her jump. "Sasha... Who would do something like this?"
"I don't know, but I promise you that I will find out who it was." Patrick walked around and started examining the books that were spread out and thrown on the floor. Dad waltzed in the room but stop in his tracks as he looked at all the damage.
"I'll take it from here men. Make sure to put someone on watch out around the house just incase whoever did this comes back." The police officers nodded at their new orders and left the room. Dad walked over to talk to the Emerson couple as I crouched down next to Patrick who was flicking through the books.
"Her weeds gone. She must of cleared it before she left." I nodded picking up one of the books and flipping through the pages. "What does it mean?" He nodded in the direction of the red message before looking back at me for an answer.
"I don't know." The floorboards creaked as someone else entered the room. Xavier, in his leather jacket and boots, scanned around the room before meeting my eyes, sending me a secret message. "Hey dad," I got up and walked over to him. "Would you mind if I took a look around the room. By myself."
"You could be tampering with serious evidence."
"I won't touch anything." I put my hands up before he nodded and left the room with the couple behind him. "Patrick, mind giving me a second." He was too busy glaring daggers at a smirking Xavier.
Getting up, he came over to me and spoke in a low voice. "I don't see why he had to be here."
"He's helping me. He knows things we don't, just trust me."
"If he tries anything, I'm just downstairs." We nodded at each other before I watched him leave the room, closing the door behind him.
"Is it clear?" Xavier picked up a book before placing it back where it was.
"Patrick said there's nothing here, so someone must of cleared it. Our main problem is that." I pointed to the red spray paint on the wall. "Addison wrote about a debt in her last note, this must have something to do with it."
"You think?" Xavier spoke sarcastically. "Are you sure you want to continue with this?"
"What do you mean?" I turned to look him dead in the eye.
"Sasha, we found drugs and a gun, we were chased in a car dump by a group of men, someone trashed Addison's room because she probably owes them some sort of debt and now someone is sending you threats! Do we really want to get deeper in this?"
"There doesn't have to be a we. You can back out whenever you want, just remember you came to me. I'm finding her with or without you. So, are you going to help me or not." There was a long pause and we just stared into each others eyes. I never forced him to come with me, he came to me.
"If she tries to get us to murder someone, I'm out." I nodded in agreement before taking one last look around the room and heading out.
12:23pm Sasha: What is the debt you owe them Addison?

I watched as the buildings flew by and listening to the soft beat of the radio. We were heading back to the cafe because I was still hungry and I wanted to ask Emera if she knows anything.
"So I was thinking - this might be a crazy idea - but what if we went to the other address that we were told to go to." I stiffened as his words travelled through my ears.
"We're not going."
"Why not?" Xavier glanced at me but continued to have his eyes on the road. This morning when I was eating my Fruit Loops in my room, I started thinking about why the second address looked so familiar and then it came back to me. It's a place I don't plan on visiting anytime soon, and Addison knows that.
"Just drop it."
"No, give me a valid reason why we shouldn't go."
"It's a place I don't want to go near. Leave it at that." He opened his mouth to reply but my frustrated expression made him close it. Let It Go by James Bay drifted through the radio making me turn it up. We didn't say a word and just listened to the music for the rest of the ride, like we always do.
I know we will have to go to that place eventually, but I don't want it to be today.
Or tomorrow.
Or any other day.
