The house was silent at ten o'clock even with dad downstairs in the living room, watching TV. I sat cross legged on my soft bed and looked all around me. There isn't much to do in my room other than stare at my photo wall next to my desk.I got up from my bed and walked over to the picture wall. There were pictures of dad and I, mum and I and a bunch of Addison and I fooling around. I stared at the picture of when we first got our hair dyed the colours they are now.
There were other pictures of us on our birthday and our random selfies of us goofing around. I pulled one off the wall and ran my thumb over it. It was a picture of Addy and I holding heart shaped ice creams; it was from Valentines Day last year. That wasn't the best day for me, but Addison made it a hundred times better.

I leaned on my locker and looked around at all the red hearts that were strung up all around the hall. I never realise this school took Valentines Day so seriously. Some girls walked past me with chocolate roses and boys trailing close behind. I laughed at a poster that was placed on the back of the entrance door: Wrap It Up This Valentine's Day!
"Don't you love it when the teachers try to promote safe sex in the most useless way ever." My turquoise haired best friend leaned next to me.
"But yet they put all the blame on us for the teen pregnancies." We laughed and started making our way out of school to sit on the grass and watch the boys practise football.
"Speaking of wrapping it up, I heard Ben was looking for you." Addison nudged my shoulder with a suggestive eyebrow raise. Ben King is the boy I've been dating for the past three months and I honestly don't know how I feel about him. I can't really remember why we got together. At first it was fun, but then we just stopped caring to look for each other so now if we bump into each other that's our way of hanging out. Neither of us really want to be the person to break it off, but for the past week he's started to become slightly clingy.
"I'll find him eventually. So, Addison Emerson, have you got any special boy chasing you today?"
"Oh, you know it." She flipped her hair over her shoulder as we both chuckled. "Not really."
"What do you mean 'not really'? Is there someone that you don't have the guts to admit?" I pondered as she looked at the shirtless football boys trying to seem unfazed.
"I've just been talking to this guy, nothing special. Before you jump to conclusions, he's just a friend and I don't want anything more."
"Does he know that?"
"Yes..." She looked down at the grass and started to pick at it.
"Is this someone I know?"
"Nope. Let's talk about something else, like... When are we going to Mexico?" I laid back and looked at the clouds slowly float around the sky.
"Who knows, let's just hope it's very soon. I can't stand this place any longer." A shadow casted over me in the form of a body.
"What are we talking about?" Patrick sat down next to me looking like he was ready to hear all the gossip we had to spread. His hair looked like it was ruffed a couple of times and his hoody was definitely a size too big for his slim figure.
"We were just talking about Sasha's boyfriend she's avoiding." Addison said, amused.
"I'm not avoiding him, I just haven't seen him this morning and if he wants to find me then he will." A cool breeze flowed around us. I should of brought my hoodie.
