I groaned and sat up. I immediately glanced at my phone, which read '7:00 am'. I glance over to my side to see four, passed out and wrapped around me. He began to stir and I wiggled out of his grip. I heard a loud bang from the front door. Everyone was up, stirring or was already awake. I climbed to my feet and immediately went to the noise. "What the hell?" Zeke hissed.

"Wait tris!" Uriah snapped.

I hesitantly began walking
Towards the noise but a hand grabbed my arm. It was Four, confusion in his face. "Who the hell is in your house?" He asked me protectively.

"I'm not sure," I said before turning and walking towards the noise.

My fear immediately left me when I saw her. "Mom," I said with a sigh.

She hugged me but for some reason I didn't hug her back. Then I felt angry. She left me. She abandoned me. And now she was trying to act like she cared. She released me and looked at me. "You look so good," she said smiling.

"I know," I said.

"Your arm looks so good," she said touching it.

"Yes mom, I know it does. I was there to watch it heal, unlike you," I snapped.

She flinched in surprise. "I'm sorry Beatrice, I was so busy at work," she said grabbing my arm.

I pulled my arm from her grasp. "Since when does work take priority over your daughter who was nearly killed," I said defensively.

"I'm a surgeon, I can't just take off from work," she said defensively.

Just then I became aware that everyone was watching, all with a similar look. Uncomfortable. "I'm sure they would've made an exception to your daughter who had brain surgery, but I bet you didn't even try to get off of work," I growled.

"That's not true tris," my mom said shaking her head.

"You left me, just like you always do. I've grown up by myself and the only parent figure I've had is Zeke. So don't even try and say you don't care about your work more then me," I said with tears in my eyes.

"I've been here for you your whole life!" My mom snapped back.

"Oh yeah? Where were you wen dad died and Zeke ran away? Where were you when I was beaten and tortured half to death by some boys at my school? Where were you then? Exactly, you weren't. You have been nothing but against us," I said forcing back my tears.

"Beatrice! I just got home and you are already screaming at me. I have done nothing wrong but be a good mother and love you. You shouldn't have gotten yourself into that stupid fight with those boys," she shouted back at me.

My fury was so extreme at that statement. "You know what mom? You're right. It was my fault that they attacked me. It was my fault they sexually assaulted me. It was completely my fault," I said before turning around.

"Beatrice wait-" my mother started but I stopped her.

"You know what mom, this time you can't fix what you said," I said my voice quiet and empty.

My own mother thinks I deserved to get tortured. I walked to my room and immediately slammed the door. I walked to my bathroom and day on the ground snatching my razor up and glancing at my wrist.

I could end it. I could end it all right now. All the pain would be gone. I could slit my wrists and climb in the tub, dying peacefully. I gripped the razor, blood dripped from my clenched fist which held the razor. But my mind flipped over to Zeke. His vibrant smile. His love for me. And Four, his over protectiveness. But then Peter appeared in my head. His mean smirk and his hands, his rough hands grabbing at my clothes. I shuddered and pulled the blade to me before throwing it hard at the mirror, cracking it slightly. I wanted to scream. I felt alone. And empty. I felt scared. And I wanted to make my fear go away. The door clicked open to my room and I slammed my bathroom door, moving so my back was against it.
"Tris?"Zeke asked.

"Tris everyone left, it's just us," Uriahs voice said softly.

I didn't budge. I quickly pressed a towel to my hand. "Get out please," I said softly.

"We aren't leaving until you come out," Zeke said.

"I'm fine," I said nursing my sliced hand.

"No you aren't," Uriah said softly.

"Yes I am. I'm always fine," I said with a sniffle.

"Tris please open the door," Zeke said.

"Just leave me alone!" I snapped, but of course, they didn't budge.

"Beatrice open the door or I will kick it down. I will give you 10 seconds," Zeke said sternly.

I stood up and opened the door to a concerned Zeke and Uriah.

I tucked my hand in my pocket of my sweatshirt and it stung. Zeke immediately wrapped me in his arms.
"Mom didn't mean what she said," he told me reassuringly.

"Yes she did," I said flatly.

"No, she didn't," Uriah said.

"Yes, she did," I repeated, angry with them.

"Mom didn't mean to fight with you," Zeke said a little frustrated.

"You're taking her side?" I asked, tears in my eyes.

"I'm not on any side, I'm just here to help," Zeke said.

"Leave me alone!" I shouted trying to push him out.

He grabbed my arms and easily stopped me from pushing him out. "Just get out," I cried, trying to shove him.

He just pulled me to him and held me tightly until I stopped fighting and let myself fall into him, tears slipping from my eyes. "I hate this, I hate it so much," I cried into him.

"I know ri, but I'm here for you. And Uriah will always be here too," Zeke said soothingly.

I released Zeke and immediately fell into Uriah. "I love you so much," Uriah said to me lovingly.

He kissed the top of my head. "I know you've been through so much but you're the strongest woman I've met and I'm so proud of you and everything you've accomplished," he said into my ear.

"What the hell happened to your hand?" Zeke said grabbing my hand when I released Uriah.

"I just cut it on the sink," I said shaking my head.

"It looks pretty bad, lets go bandage it up," Uriah said.

"It's fine," I said shaking my head.

"Nope, I'm cleaning that up whether you like it or not," he snapped.

Once again, Zeke and Uriah somehow managed to pick me up when I fell apart.
