ZEKE POV
The paramedics shoved me back as I stood with shock. Tears falling down my face. "Start CPR, we're almost to the hospital, keep her heart beating.
I tried to get to her but they pushed me back.
"What's happening? Someone tell me!" I screamed.
"Sir just get back!" A paramedic yelled at me before they shoved a mask over tris' face.
I stared in horror at tris as they rushed around the small ambulance.
7 Hours later
We sat in the white waiting room, silence resting upon us all. Not a sound has been made. It was completely silent. No one said anything. Mom should be here in a couple hours. Everyone was staring at the ground. There heads in there hands. I ran my hands through my hair, tapping my leg. From the corner of my eye, I could see four. He had tears filling his eyes as he stared at the wall.
Then the door opened, the one that lead to the O.R. All our heads shot up and we watched as the doctor approached. "Ezekiel Pedrad," he said.
Everyone immediately jumped to their feet.
He looked surprised, but continued anyway. "Beatrice is out of surgery. She had extensive injuries. She had an inter-cranial Hemorrhage, so we had to drill into her brain to relieve pressure and preform brain surgery. She also has a broken arm, a severe concussion, and several broken ribs. Tris will be okay but we'll keep her here for as long as she needs. It's could be a week to a month. We'll just have to take it slow and let her heal. She is in recovery but I would advise only a few people to go back. She should be waking up soon. If you want to see her, she's in room 2234. "
We all released a breath we'd been holding in. I immediately got up. "Uriah, four, we'll go see her. Everyone else can come back tomorrow to see her," I said, giving everyone a strict look.
Everyone nodded and we headed to the recovery rooms.
Tris POV
Light shone through my eyelids, piercing my eye balls. My throats felt scratchy as I swallowed. Actaually, it ached. Everything felt numb. I couldn't really feel anything. I could her some people talking quietly as I grabbed the sheets in my weak fists and pinched my eyes closed.
I felt tired. My whole body. I tried to move but I couldn't.
I opened my eyes slightly and blinked slowly, taking in the vibrant lights. I glanced down to see an IV stuck in my arm and tubes wrapped around my bed. A soft beeping sound filled my ears. I turned my head painfully and my brother Zeke came into view. The room I was in, was completely white. It had to be a hospital room.
"Hey ri," Zeke said cracking a small smile.
I tried to talk but my voice squeaked and cracked. I reached up and touched my throat.
"W-wat-er,""""- I croaked out.
"Tris the doctor said no water for a few hours, or you could end up being sick," Zeke said.
I frowned.
"It's okay Ri," Uriah said from the other side of me.
My head hurt, and I felt weak. I finally noticed four, who was sitting beside Zeke, a wary look on his face. I tried to push my self up but I couldn't, it hurt too much. Zekes arms pressed me down. "Don't move. You just had brain surgery tris," Zeke said.
"I-it," I tried but my voice sounded squeaky.
"It's okay tris. Don't talk," four said.
"I-it was p-Peter, Drew, a-and Al," I said, taking a deep breath, which stung my chest.
"We already talked to the police, but they'll need to talk to you when you feel better. Right now, you just need to relax and heal," Uriah said.
Zeke looked murderous. His face held a look of pure hatred. I glanced at my arm, which was encased in a cast. I weakly reached at my face, something was pushed under my nose. My hand weakly pulled at the tube, but it wouldn't budge, not because it was under my nose right, but because I had no strength at all.
I dropped my hand to my side and slowly turned my head to look at four and zeke. I took a painful breath and cringed in pain. "Mom." I said searching Zekes eyes.
"She'll be here soon," Uriah said.
"I want....... mom, now," I said taking a deep breath.
"Okay. I'll call her," Zeke said, getting up.
I dropped my head and it lolled to the side, against the pillow. Uriahs hand grabbed mine and I wrapped it in his tightly. "I-I want Dad," I said, my voice cracking.
"I know ri, we all miss him," Uriah said.
I felt a tear fall down my face.
Zeke walked back in and sat next to me. "Mom is almost to the hospital, she'll be here in a few minutes," Zeke said brushing a piece of hair from my face.
I stared at the wall before closing my eyes.
I could hear them get up and move to the other side of the room. Their voices were low as they spoke. I attempted to listen the best I could but their deep voices were hard to follow.
I heard peters name. But I couldn't hear what they were saying.
I heard a loud knock at the door and I slowly turned my head in pain. I could barely keep my heavy eyes open.
The mom walked in and I had never felt so happy.
"Mom....." I croaked out.
"Oh my god, baby," she said, running to me.
They all moved back over to me, and mom sat on the bed next to me, kissing my forehead.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry I wasn't here sooner baby," mom said lovingly.
I weakly lifted my unbroken hand and found hers. I just wanted to shut my eyes and sleep. "I'm tired," I whined, my holding my moms hand with my weak grasp.
"Then sleep honey, you need it," she said before kissing my cheek.
I closed my eyes, resting my head against the soft pillow. I let myself drift away.
