Well, it's that lovely time of the month again (interpret that anyway you want), and for once, the pain was actually useful in inspiring this one-shot where the reader doesn't initially get along with the Black Widow at first, but that little something they have in common allows them to bond. There may be some details about this monthly natural phenomenon so a little warning will be issued in case this sort of thing makes you uncomfortable.

Also, as a side note, the reader is an Avenger and Tony's ex-girlfriend (details will be given in the story). There may also be some innuendo.

It's been one grueling week of non-stop missions left to right; at least you had the whole next week of relaxation to think about as you head back to the Avenger's compound. At this point, you wanted nothing more then to throw together a sundae then run yourself a hot soothing bath.

The moment you enter the kitchen you head to the freezer for the ice cream. You grabbed all the toppings and the largest bowel you could find to make an amazing sundae with vanilla ice cream, lots of hot fudge, lots of whipped cream, and a whole bunch of cherries. You were in the zone, till a certain voice interrupted your thoughts, "Don't you think that's enough?" you look up to see your least favorite person standing right by the counter. "What does it matter to you, Romanoff?" you sneer, grabbing your bowel. "I'm just saying, that big a sundae, not sure if you could finish the whole thing," Natasha smirks. You roll your eyes, "Like you never indulged in your sweet tooth once in awhile," you head out of the kitchen, not really in the mood to start with the red head.

Being a spy, Nat knew how to press your buttons; something you didn't really care for. The fact that Nat knew they you didn't care for her pressing your buttons was another reason why you didn't really get along with her. Sure she was hot and she's a really great fighter, but you still felt miffed every time she tried to annoy you.

In the present, you sat in the couch of the lounge area to enjoy your sundae, but Nat wasn't about to give you a moments peace. "Your eyes sure are bigger then your stomach if you think you can eat that whole thing on your own," she takes a seat right next to you. "You're not getting a bite from me if that's what you're thinking," you glare at her. "If you say so," Nat shrugs, "I do wonder though if your love of sweets is what drove Tony away from you in the first place." You couldn't take it anymore and actually dump the bowel and its contents on top her head. "You don't anything about me nor why we broke up in the first place, so mind your own damn business!" you exclaim. "It was just a joke, (y/n)," Natasha says, wiping ice cream from her face. "Well I don't like it," you snap, "And I hate it when you purposely try to drive me crazy like that." The spider was in too much of a shock to say anything as you storm off to your bedroom.

While running a bath to soak away your troubles, you couldn't help but think about what just occurred back in the lounge. Natasha may have a way with getting on nerves, but you didn't think you had in you to do something like that; you never lost your cool like that around her before. Part of you actually wanted to go and apologize to her, but the other part was a tad bit embarrassed to face her again. After a good long soak, you decide on going to bed with the hopes of starting a new day.

-----------The Next Day--------------

"(Y/N)?" Tony calls for you as he knocked on your door. You were suppose to meet him in the lounge for a movie marathon ; even though you and him weren't a couple anymore the two of you were still able to hang out as friends. "Don't come in," you plead from the other side. "I've seen you naked, (y/n), you don't need to worry about not being decent," Tony says back. "It's not that, its..." you think before you answer further, "I'm in the bathroom." "Did you slip and fall in the shower again?" Tony asks. "No," you answer, "But it's still not any less painful. Do you remember what happens once a month to me? You know when we were together and stuff?"
