Sibling Rivalry- Thor/Loki

Welcome to my 100th one-shot spectacular!

Okay so it's not so much of a spectacular as more of an recognition that this is my 100th one-shot that I'm writing, which also coincidentally ties in with celebrating getting over 25,000 views AND the theatrical release of Thor: Ragnarok.

So for a little overview, the reader is in a relationship with Loki, but he and Thor are having one of their feuds again, and reader feels it's starting to interfere in their relationship (also of course Thor is in a relationship with Jane).

Fluff, drama, anything could happen really. Enjoy. 

"See anything?" Thor whispers to Loki as the two brothers lie in wait for their target. The two had been lying in a cramped trench in the middle of nowhere for the last four days waiting to ambush some smugglers that could be carrying alien weapons. "No not really?" Loki retorts in irritation, "Can't really see anything for that matter?" "Have you gone blind?" Thor asks in disbelief, "No, but it's hard to see anything WHEN SOMEONES LYING ON TOP OF YOU!" Loki shouts the last part; in that moment, Thor realize he was near squishing Loki on top of them. "Apologies," Thor angrily murmurs getting off, "I forgot how fragile you are in comparison."

"Care to elaborate on that, brother?" Loki sneers, turning a sideways glare. "Well I'm not trying to insinuate anything," Thor sarcastically explains, "but when it came to feats of strength, I always did come up on top." "Oh please," Loki counters, "You may have the upper hand when it comes to brute strength, but everybody knows the most important muscle in the body is the mind." "Are you insinuating my mind is weak?" Thor returns the glare. "Well, let's think on all the many times I fooled you," Loki answers, "If anything it'll give us something to talk about for another four days while we lie here waiting."

Before Thor could verbally retaliate, the two hear the sound of vehicles approaching; their target had arrived. "At long last," Thor says right as he gets up to charge, but Loki pulls him back, "What do you think you're doing?" "We must wait for the opportune moment before we strike," Loki tries to reason, "We need to think this through; not that you'd comprehend what that entails," he said the last part sarcastically. "You know, normally I'd ignore these childish insults of yours, Loki," Thor mutters angrily, "But after being stuck in your company four days straight, I am this close to turning this hammer on you." "Well, it wouldn't be the first time you've so carelessly and stupidly swung that thing out of anger," Loki retorts.

That moment, Thor snapped, and right now's probably a good time to initiate a time skip.  

--------Time Skip to the Avengers Compound--------

While waiting for your men to return, you and Jane were having some bonding time of your own, sipping homemade cocktails and just enjoying some casual and occasional scientific conversation. "This was nice, having these intellectual conversations," Jane says to you after a rather lengthy discussion on various theories in biochemistry and astrophysics, "I love Thor and all, and I know he tries, but it's nice not having to explain all the science terms every once in awhile." "Well, trying to have these type of conversations with Loki is no picnic either surprisingly," you reply, "I don't know how he does it, but he always manages to draw up some sort of painful childhood memory every time we have talks like this; not that I don't have any sympathy, but it's still nice to talk and end each conversation with on the edge tears." "Speaking of which, when are those boys suppose to get back?" Jane asks. "Hard to tell," you shrug, "these stakeout missions usually take up to a week, but sometimes it's a little less then that."

"How long has it been now?" Jane presses. "About four days," you answers. "Oh boy," Jane mutters as if she knew what was about to happen next. 

Right on cue, Thor and Loki had entered the facility, and both you and Jane could hear their yelling match right from the lounge the two of you were sitting at.
