This is my very first one-shot that is also co-written by another writer, whom in this case is Dorkus_Mcgee. This is also their idea.

This takes place during Spider-man:Homecoming and the reader is Peter's date to the homecoming dance who gets kidnapped by the Vulture. Anyway after that battle Peter makes up for it afterwards.

Enjoy, also you can find this same story in my co-writer's Marvel book.

"So, what's the game plan?" Aunt May quizzes. "Open the door," Peter begins, "Tell her she looks nice, but not too much because that's creepy. Don't be creepy. And uh, when I dance with her I put my hands on her hips. I got this."
With Aunt May's approval, Peter stepped out of the car and approached the house, corsage in hand.

Meanwhile, you were still working on your homework when out of the blue your phone rang. You picked it up and realized it was a text from Peter.

Pete: Come down the stairs and wear your homecoming dress

Me: Why?

Pete: You will find out when you get down here.

Me: What are you hiding?

Pete: Its a surprise

Me: Fine.

You closed your Chem book and then got up to get your unworn dress out of the closet. You had literally no idea what this was about and Peter was being so mysterious. You put on your dress and took about 5 minutes to get my hair to hide the small scar on your forehead.

Peter then knocks at the door, waiting in anticipation for you to answer the door, all dolled up for the dance. Answering the door instead was a face Peter did not expect to see...and hadn't been looking forward to seeing.
"You must be Peter," Adrian Tomes, aka the Vulture speaks, shaking Peter's hand, "I'm (y/n)'s dad."

Perhaps a little explanation is in order.

Ever since Peter had his Spider suit privileges revoked by Tony Stark, the young teen invested his time in school, getting good grades, participating in school clubs and other typical high school stuff. And weeks before the homecoming dance, he had his sights on asking you out to said dance. As Liz's sister, there were times you had felt like you were constantly living in her shadow. You had a small crush on Peter but always had a feeling he would prefer to ask out Liz instead of you. That perspective changed when Liz set the two of you up on a school lunch date which suspiciously ended up in the janitor's closet which was also suspiciously locked for the entire lunch period.

Anyway long story, short, Peter decided he would surprise you with a grand romantic gesture by showing up at your house and taking you to the dance.

So, back to the present, here you were in the backseat of your father's car with Peter right next to you while your father drove the two of you to the school dance. You were unaware of the perspiration on Peter' s forehead that resulted from him being chauffeured to the dance by his archenemy who was also his date's father. You were more focused on how you this kid surprised you and wanted to take you to the dance.

When you finally arrived at the school, you walked out, but Peter stayed behind so your father could grill him on stuff.

You wait outside not sure what was keeping Peter. You were also hoping your dad didn't scare him away.
After some time, your date finally shows up. "Peter!" you call out amid the loud music. You run up to him, only to realize the pale look on his face. "Is everything alright?" you frown, "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"I...I uh...." Peter begins, almost like he has some bad news, "I'm sorry, I can't do this. You deserve better."
