I am long overdue for a Sam one-shot so here I go. For this, the reader is married to Sam, they have two kids, and they are *clears throat* having a bit of a difficulty getting some alone time together if you catch my drift.

Fluff may range from cute to steamy.

"Well?" you inquire of your husband of six years who was also the father of your five year old son and five month old daughter, "Are they asleep?" you press, laying in your bed, book in hand. "Took nearly half an hour, but I finally got her down for the night," Sam answers, closing the door behind him before joining you in bed, "Gotta tell you, that girl is a handful, I don't remember Stevie ever being so much work." "I suspect this is Riley's way of making up for it," you chuckle a little, "First kid barely give us much trouble so the second one's gotta compensate for that. Just so you know, Wilson, it was YOUR idea to have a second kid together."

"Yeah I guess so," Sam chuckles back, "but just so YOU know you didn't have to agree." "Yeah well, it seemed like a good idea at the time," you pout a little. "Hey, baby-girl, don't be like that," Sam scoots closer to you, "the important thing is they're both asleep and...I think you know what that means." You take notice of the way he's wiggling his eyebrows at you. "Oh alright," you roll your eyes in a playful manner and put your book away, "Come here you." you pull him closer to you so you could make out with him. "I can barely remember the last time we've been this intimate together," you mumble in between kisses. "It's been too long," he agrees, "I can't tell ya how much I've missed this." "I can tell judging from what I feel pressed up against my thigh right now," you joke. "I can't help myself," he smirks, "you're just so damn beautiful after all." "Such a charmer," you remark. The kissing continued and became more heated.

-----------The Next Morning-----------

When you opened your eyes the next morning, you realized Sam was still sleeping right next to you. You also realized you were still fully and very much clothed. "Ugh, you've gotta be kidding me," you groan, which got Sam slowly up from sleep. "Oh yeah, we didn't do it last night," he realizes rubbing his eyes. "We didn't even make it past the foreplay," you confirm.

"I've last count of how many time we just fell asleep right in the middle of making out," Sam groans, "Look, babe, I love you and I love the kids, but we really need some to find some to ourselves." "I agree," you nod, "Only...I'm not sure I feel ready to be leave Stevie and Riley behind for so long." "We could call Cap and Sharon to babysit," Sam suggests, "Maybe spend the weekend at the beach." You didn't seem sure still, "Come on," he encourages, "It's only a few days, if you want to leave earlier we can do that. You know we can always count on Cap to look after the kids."
You hear your daughter cry from her room, "Okay," you groan, getting up, "We can do that. In the mean time, I better feed Riley and start making breakfast for the rest of us." "I'll take care of breakfast, you take care of Riley," Sam gets up from bed, "We'll all meet in the kitchen." "Sounds like a plan," you nod.

-----------time skip------------

"you sure you two are okay taking the kids?" you ask Sharon, "I know you and Steve already have one little one to look after, I want to make sure it won't be too much of a burden." "It's no burden at all," Sharon assures, "You know we love Stevie and Riley like family. Also James will be looking forward to having his partner-in-crime sleeping over for the weekend." "And you're okay babysitting a five month old too?" you continue. "We already have experience taking care of one five month old under our roof before, I'm sure Steve and I have the hang of it," Sharon answers, "Don't worry, (y/n), you and Sam go, spend time to yourselves and have fun...but not too much fun," she jokes, making you laugh.
"Okay, if you say so," you pull her into a hug, "I really appreciate this, Shar."

---------------------

"You sure about this?" Sam inquires of Steve, "Cause I know you and Sharon already have one mouth to feed, we would be adding more to your family table." "It's just two more mouths, no big deal," Steve assures, "It's nothing we haven't done before whenever you and (y/n) come over for dinner. Besides, I have a feeling James will practically be over the roof to have his best friend staying for the weekend." "Yeah, I wonder how much trouble those two will get into while (y/n/n) and I are away," Sam agrees, "Well alright man, if you're okay with that, then I leave our most valuable treasures in yours and Sharon's capable hands."
"Nice to know you have so much in us, Sam," Steve sarcastically jokes.

--------------

"Where are your parents going, Stevie?" James inquires of his friend. "I dunno," Stevie answers, "But I heard daddy tell mommy she was about to get her world rocked tonight." "Huh?" James frowns, "Are they going somewhere fun or something?" "And they're going without me," Stevie realizes, "I wanna go too!"

-----------Time skip-----------------

"Mommy! Daddy!" you hear little Stevie's voice as he ran towards you while you and Sam were packing. "What's wrong, baby?" you ask embracing your son, picking him up, "Please don't go, mommy," Stevie pleads, "Please don't go without me."
"I'm sorry, Stevie," you try to explain to your son, "it's just me and your daddy, you and your sister will be staying with Auntie Sharon and Uncle Steve while we're gone. Aren't you looking forward to having a sleep over with James?"

"I want to go with you and daddy," Stevie answers, "I heard you and daddy where going somewhere fun. Daddy said you were going to have your world rocked."
You and Sam exchanged looks, realizing what Stevie overheard his father said and realizing what that implied.
"Look, Stevie," Sam tries to explain, taking his son in his arms, "Your mommy and I are going somewhere fun...but it's a place that's fun for grown-ups like us. You wouldn't like it there, Stevie, it would be boring for you anyway." "How can it fun for you but not for me?" Stevie frowns in a confused manner. "That's something you'll understand when you're just a little bigger than you already are, son," Sam assures, "We're just going to be gone for a little while, Steven. Mommy and I will be back before you know it." "Yeah, besides," you add, "You and Riley are gonna have so much more fun with Auntie Sharon, Uncle Steve, and James." "We love you two," Sam assures, "we'll be thinking of you when we're gone."

This seemed to calm the young boy enough; he even wanted to lend a hand in packing. The sooner you two left the sooner you two would come back, that was Stevie's reasoning.

--------Time Skip---------

After dropping the kids off at the Rogers residence, you and Sam finally embarked on your weekend getaway at the beach. The whole three days, you and your husband made the most of it: laying on the beach, swimming, couples massages, fine dinning, and steamy love making (at least three times a day ;)). It felt like a huge relief just being able to spend time alone with the man you love.

"Well these last three days have been amazing," Sam grins widely while you and him lay naked beneath the sheets of your hotel room, enjoying what was left of your room serviced breakfast. "Yeah they really have been," you agree, "Just the two of us, naked in bed late in the morning like the old days...except the part were we order room service," you laugh at that, "this has been fun and all...but to be honest with you, babe, I really miss the kids."
"Yeah, I miss them too," Sam replies, "Don't get me wrong, we really needed this, but...does it feel weird I miss Riley screaming in the middle of the night and one of us gets up to get her?" "No, I kinda miss that too," you confirm, "I also miss the way Stevie sneaks into our room all quiet like to wake us up, and you pretend to still be asleep cause he's really not all that quiet," you chuckle, "I miss seeing their little faces in the morning when it's time for breakfast." "I miss the look on little Stevie's face whenever I make the chocolate chip pancakes," Sam adds, "it's just so rewarding to see them so happy." "Yeah," you sigh.

"....oh my god," you realize, "I miss Stevie and Riley more than I thought." "Me too," Sam also realizes. "I think it's about time we pack our stuff and get back to our family," you suggest. "Agreed," Sam answers. Immediately, you and Sam jump up outta bed, get your clothes on, packed the bags, and got outta the resort as fast as you could, eager to see the kids again.

--------------

To say the kids were ecstatic to see you and Sam again would be an understatement, especially for Stevie.
After picking up the kids, you and Sam took them to the park for ice cream.

You really did enjoy that weekend with Sam, and it might be something you would want to do again sometime in the near future, but it was just as fun being able to spend time with your family.
