XIII- Jason

Jason was confused, frustrated, and overall tired with this whole quest.

First, a horde of monsters attack the Argo II, Hazel ends up falling overboard (Jason didn't find that and the attack a coincidence) and is apparently kidnapped by Gaea, then the remaining six demigods are left with no lead on their missing friend's location other than a simple name on a freaking leaf.

Just their luck.

Annabeth had picked up the leaf after a moment of shocked silence, and was now staring intently at it. Jason noticed her grey eyes turn more stormy than usual, and he could nearly see the gears in her brain running overtime.

Annabeth put her head in her hands, like she was trying to think. "Oh, I know this myth..." She started mumbling to herself, so that no one could here a word she said.

Silence fell over the demigods while they waited for Annabeth to come to an answer. Percy, instead, broke the silence, "Wasn't Pygmalion that guy who fell in love with a statue?"

Jason frowned. He had no recolection of that myth.

Apparantly, Annabeth had. She jerked her head out of her hands, her eyes lighting up the same way they always do when she's reached the answer she had been searching for, "Yes! That's it! He shunned women, and Aphrodite, of course, didn't like that. So she cursed him in to falling in love with a statue of a woman he made himself."

Leo whistled. "Man, that guy had a worse love life than I have." He paused. "I mean, at least I go after girls who are real."

"Guys," Jason interrupted, wanting to find Hazel and get on with their quest as soon as possible, "Let's get back on track, here. Pathetic statue lover, remember?"

"Oh, I don't know about pathetic. Perhaps... amazingly awesome."

The Seven whirled around. At the opposite side of the deck, stood a middle-aged man in an ancient toga. Jason noticed a mischevious glint in his eyes, like this ego-centric guy felt he could do anything and get away with it.

"And I'm guessing you'd be Pygmalion," Annabeth stated, crossing her arms over her chest.

Pygmalion grinned. "Well, then, if you're guessing, that means I can tell you you're wrong, and that I'm actually... Zeus!"

Jason frowned at that. He closed his eyes in concentration, and a few seconds later, he could see the area in front of him light up behind his closed eyelids. Opening his eyes, he was met with a startled Pygmalion.

"What was that for?!" He demanded, looking more shocked than angry, "Did I tell you I wanted to be shocked by a lightning bolt? I don't believe I did."

"Well, I figured if you were really my dad," Jason said, almost sarcastically, "You would incinerate me for nearly shocking you."

Pygmalion's eyebrows shot up. "Yes! How dare you, mortal! Bow down before me--"

"Give it up, Pygmalion," Frank said, shouldering his bow.

Pygmalion huffed. "Fine. Yeah, I'm Pygmalion."
