"So what do you think?"

"You want me to do what?" Kihyun asked, clearly unamused at the idea.

"Yeah celebrities do it all the time, what's so wrong with having a 'fake' girlfriend." He explained.

"No, I'll pass." Kihyun protested.

"Ok look, if you go on a few dates with y/n it's a win-win situation. She's promoting her newest drama, you're having a comeback pretty soon, it's better if you two stay in the spotlight till then." The manager rambled.

"I don't know if your logic is making any sense."

"Well I already told her about it and she agreed so that leaves you no choice."

"She agreed?"

"Yeah.. definitely." He reassured.

FLASHBACK TO THREE DAYS AGO

"Soo?"

"I'm not too sure if I'm fond of the idea." You told him.

"Ok well I'm not explaining myself again."

"No I see why but- what does he think?"

"Oh he loves the idea!"

"Really?"

"Yeah he's on board."

"I guess it would help." You spoke not feeling too sure.

BACK TO THE PRESENT
"Are you sure she said yes?"

"Yes now hurry, we're meeting her in an hour."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"Because if I would have told you in advance you would have given me an excuse not to be present."

Small time skip~
"Y/n this is Kihyun, Kihyun meet y/n"
"Yes, hello." You greeted, slightly tilting your head downwards.
"So you're okay with all this?" He was quick to ask.
"I- I mean, It's not too bad of an idea, think of just promoting each other for some time." You explained to Kihyun who seemed iffy about the idea and still unsure yourself.
"I guess so, what are we supposed to do." Kihyun removed his attention from you and onto his Manager.

"Well why don't we start by posting a photo of you two, y/n can post one on Instagram and Kihyun you can post one on Twitter, how does that sound." The tall man explained. The atmosphere between you and Kihyun was still a bit awkward and he noticed it. He took his phone out and so did you, you both posed for a photo but got interrupted by Kihyun saying, "y/n if we're going to be a 'couple' we need to be more natural about this. Looks like you're being forced in this second photo." And he was right, your smile was too fake you wouldn't have believed it yourself. You posed for a photo again but this time you let yourself go a bit, wrapping an arm around Kihyun, hugging him from behind and even made a silly face.

"These look great!" Kihyun's Manager complemented. "We should probably post them now." And that was what you two did, as soon as those photos went up your phones wouldn't stop getting notifications. Some fans were happy, others couldn't believe it and some didn't think anything of it. On your photo, the caption read, "him" and on Kihyun's it said, "her". Some thought it was a friendly gesture and others were raging.
There were comments like, 'Really? You two?', 'This better be a joke!', 'She's only dating him for attention', they weren't wrong, you were doing this attention, maybe all this was a bad idea but it was too late to back out now.

"Are you coming y/n?" Kihyun asked you making your senses clear again.
"Where are we going?" You asked, lost as to where he was taking you.
"I'll treat you to a coffee not too far from here.. I am your 'boyfriend' after all." Kihyun played around having a little fun with the situation.

After ordering your coffees you two sat down in a pretty empty coffee shop, it was just you, him and a girl on her computer with papers scattered all over her table.
Kihyun received a text, "Great." He said sarcastically.
"What is it?"
"The manager just sent me an invitation to your movie premiere."
"Oh yeah! It's this Saturday. You'll come right?"
"I guess I have no other choice." Kihyun simply looked at you half smiling.
