"Joshua wake up." You tapped on your boyfriends shoulder.

He mumbled something inaudible before turning around to answer you,
"What is it?"

"I think I hear noises coming from the kitchen." You told him, feeling a little silly afterwards.

"It's probably nothing sweetheart."
Joshua reassured.

"But I hear it... look listen."
You stayed quiet so he could hear what you were hearing all this time. Then a rustling noise could be heard and there was no denying he had heard it as well.

"See. You probably thought I was making all this up."

"Okay I heard it. Let me go check out what it is."

After a few minutes of him being gone you were starting to worry; not only for him but for you as well being alone in your bedroom.

"Josh?" You called out his name hoping he'd hurry back.

You heard him laugh and wondered what the heck was going on. He came back with your cat nestled in his arms and set him on the bed.

"It was mister whiskers."

"Oh. Sorry I woke you up." you softly chuckled, completely forgetting you two had a cat. You guessed watching that scary movie had you all jittery.

"It's okay. Now let's both go back to sleep."
Joshua got back in bed with you and hugged you from behind, both of you being that close had created a warm and cozy vibe it made you two easily fall back into dreamland.
