You and Jacob had been friends for as long as either of you could remember and since you two were such good friends Jacob wanted to gift you with something special: a puppy.

He knew how much you loved puppies, kittens, hamsters, bunnies and pretty much anything that could possibly be kept as a pet but he had decided he'd give you a dog. Recently you've been talking non stop about how great it would be if you'd get a little creature since you were living alone now and before that your parents were a bit strict on 'no dogs in the house' policy.

Jacob had gotten what seemed like the perfect puppy for you and couldn't wait to give it to you. As he walked over to your house he carried the puppy in hand hoping he wouldn't be much trouble and as he made it to your front door step he set him down quickly knocking on your door and stepping aside for when you opened the door all you would see was the dog. You didn't seem to be in a rush to answer the door since you didn't open so he decided to phone you.

"Hey y/n?"
"Yes hello?"
"Where are you?"
"Jacob?" You gasped, "were we supposed to meet today?"
"Yeah sort of." He chuckled.
"Gosh I completely forgot! I'm almost near my house. Do you have time to wait for me?"
"Ey, always so forgetful but I'll wait." He joked.
"Thank you." You replied and hanged up not waiting for a response on his side.

He waited roughly seven minutes before you made an appearance.
"Well look who finally decided to show up." He teased.
"At least I made it." You smiled, feeling your legs tired from speed waking.
"Ok so you know how we've been friends for a while now?"
"Unfortunately. Not like I can forget I still have you here don't I." You joked.
"Yah! You like me being here so shh." Jacob told you and you just stood there laughing, "you might want to be quiet before I take my gift back."
"We're giving gifts now?."
"Yeah kinda felt like it, I'll be waiting for mine in the mail though." He raised an eyebrow smiling afterwards.
He grabbed the puppy from where he was hidden and all that was heard was a loud gasp coming from you.
"Jacob, no way, is that a- it's a puppy. Oh my gosh he's so cute." You excitingly rambled extending your arms to grab him.
"Well aren't you just the cutest little thing. Aww you're just too cute I can eat you up." You cooed at your new puppy.
"You do know it's a dog right, it can't understand you." He told you trying his best to annoy you just for the kicks of it.
After rolling your eyes at Jacob you continued petting him whilst thanking him multiple times feeling overwhelmed.
"I really like him thank you." You smiled widely making Jacob laugh because he's never seen you that excited before.
