Imagine:

Shawn goes on his phone whilst I read and take notes, and I have to say, his presence makes me happy. I mumble to myself as I read and I catch Shawn smiling every now and again when I sigh heavily at my work.

"What are you laughing at pretty boy?" I tease.

"Don't call me that," he says.

I rest my pen and laugh. "You're ridiculously good-looking and you know it Shawn."

"Then your beauty is out of this world," he says and winks.

I blush and turn away, resting my head on my hands.

"Why are you hiding?" Shawn asks softly.

"I'm not," I mumble, but I want to curl up into a ball. His comments like that catch me off guard and have me weak and unable to reply. What he says is sweet, but I'm not good enough for him, no matter how much I want him.

"Then turn this way. Face me so I can see you."

"But I'm still studying Shawn," I say, even though I finished.

He ignores my false comment and turns me around. He leans his head on his hand, his face only inches above mine. My eyes flicker to his lips which break into a smile and show off perfect, white teeth. I look down and my skin starts burning. I can feel his eyes on me.

"Is there something wrong Jess?"

I clear my throat and look up. God that was a mistake. I keep my eyes on him, trying not to give in to those intense eyes. "N-nothing," I stutter.

Shawn continues to smile and his eyes drop to my lips. "Let's play a game," he says and looks back up, his eyes smiling mischievously. He picks a banana chip and crunches on it.

My heart is pounding fast. "I'm not sure Shawn-"

"Come on, it'll be fun." He says.

We both sit up so we're side by side against his bed. "Here, take a chip."

I take one out of the packet.

"Now hold it between your lips."

I do as I'm told, and he tries to hide his smirk.

"Okay, now I have to try and take it out using my mouth."

I chuck my chip at him.

"Hey!" He shouts and eats it. "You wasted that."

"That's not a game Shawn. What are you thinking?"

"Come on Jess, you're no fun."

I roll my eyes. "I'm gonna see if Cam's still awake. At least he'll appreciate my company." I get up to leave but Shawn locks his arms around me and holds on tight.

He whispers in my ear. "Just one go. Please? It doesn't matter what happens. And then we'll watch Harry Potter."

My heart thumps uncontrollably and I feel my hands shaking. Why do I get so worked up about things like this? I take a deep breath and let it out slowly to calm myself.

"Fine," I whisper back.

He releases his hold and passes me a chip. I press it between my lips by the tiniest bit to avoid anything happening, 'cause boy, the banana chip he gave me this time is smaller than the last one.

He smiles at me. "Are you ready?"

"Just do it," I mumble through my lips. He chuckles and brings his face close to mine. I look at his eyes and see my reflection in them. His pink lips stretch into a smile.

"Someone's eager," he says softly. He leans in and presses his body against mine as he picks the banana chip out of my mouth. Our lips touch, but only ever so slightly that I'm not even sure if they did. My stomach fills with butterflies and I feel like I'm flying with them.

"That wasn't so bad right?" Shawn asks. "Should we do another one?" He starts to smirk and is about to put a chip between his lips but I knock it off.

"No! That was the worst moment of my life."

"Ouch, that hurt my heart," he says dramatically, gripping his chest.

"Good," I say and stick my tongue out at him.
