Imagine:
*4 years later*
Shawn's POV:
Y/n never came to Pine Ridge. It's like she disappeared into thin air after my ice hockey match. I saw her, cheering me on and screaming my name. She came up to me after the game and hugged me, and we went to the dessert place for ice cream to celebrate. We soon grew pretty close and I managed to ask her out on a date. We lasted all the way through summer and then she disappeared into thin air. She stopped replying to my messages and never came to her skating classes whilst I had my ice hockey training. Rumours spread that she went into a coma after an accident, but surely her mom would tell me? Or my own mom?
Every year as a new semester started, I couldn't help but feel like Y/n would appear in the hallways and be in one of my classes but she never did. I guess things changed, and she didn't really want to hang around with me anymore. I don't blame her. But it's been 4 years already, this is our senior year. But it's only gonna be the same as always.
"Yooo, Shawnie boy!" I hear someone shout behind me. I turn around and find Brian taking a running jump onto me, rubbing my head with his knuckle and we tackle each other. I exchange fist bumps with him and Nash.
"What's up guys? How were the last weeks of summer? Did you manage to finish the history assignments?"
Nash laughs loud and slaps me on the shoulder. "Seriously bro, you think I'd give up two weeks of my summer for Benson's history crap? Nuh-uh. I'm walking in straight to his class without a single note."
I shake my head. "Lucky for both of you it's senior year this year."
"Hey, hey! Shawn!" I hear again. I see Cam running towards us and he's looking quite serious about something.
"Hey, you alright Cam? Why so serious on the first day of-"
"It' Y/n. S-she's here."
I stop dead in my tracks and a million thoughts and memories run through my mind of Y/n and our short but sweet summer that ended abruptly. "Y-Y/n? Y/n Y/l/n? She's here... here in Pine Ridge?"
I gulp and look at my friends. The guys who stuck by me since forever and who always look out for me since I'm the youngest. "I uh, I'm gonna head to homeroom, to uh... just incase."
They all nod in silence and look at me. I let out a small laugh but it comes out weak and quiet. "Hey, will you guys let me know if, if she turns up in one of your homerooms? Or if you see her..."
Cam pats me on the shoulder. "Sure thing bro. Just don't let it get to you too much okay? I saw a girl, and it might just be a lookalike."
I smile. "I'll be fine."
I trundle all the way to homeroom in class 404 and sit in the back like I've done so many times. Brian's supposed to be in the same homeroom as me, but he can't stand Mrs Green so he never goes.
I watch people pile into the room, my heart getting worked up whenever a girl walks in. I almost miss her when she walks in. Y/n's changed, in a good way. Her figure has grown in height and she's still got her slender skating figure. Her hair is silky as ever, bouncing around her shoulders as her curls drop to her back. She walks past everyone, some of the guys turning their heads to check her out. Y/n takes a seat beside me, but she doesn't take note of who I am. I clear my throat and turn to face her.
"Hey, are you new here?"
She turns around and smiles at me. "Yeah, I am. I'm Y/n. And you are?"
My heart shatters into a million pieces at the words that just came out of her mouth.
