Hey readers! So this is one of the longest imagines I've done so far, and I guess it's sort of a mini fanfic, which is why I'm doing this intro. I'm very proud of this too, so I hope you enjoy reading it! At the beginning right now, it's from your viewpoint as a 13 year old. Enjoy!

Imagine:
I've been figure skating for over 3 years now and I absolutely love it. I feel like a fairy when I glide across the ice quickly and leap into the air into a jump. But it's not as easy as one thinks. When I first started training I fell all the time, bruises forming around my ankles and toes, sometimes on my knees from when I hit the ice hard. But all the training has helped me to be the strong skater I am now.
I jump out of the car and join Mum's side as we walk together to the rink. I wave goodbye to her as she joins Kelsie's mum. She's my best friend from our skating classes, and she reckons we will be going to the same high school together.
The ice rink is divided in half again as the skaters take one side and the ice hockey players take the other side.
"Come on Y/n, let's do some warm up laps," Kelsie says, dragging me onto the ice.
I waddle behind her and set foot on the ice in my pristine skates. I push myself forward and build up speed, whizzing past Kelsie and laugh as she tries to keep up with me.
I catch her shaking her head at me. "I knew asking you onto the ice was a bad idea. You're always quicker than me."
I stick my tongue out as I slow down and skate backwards so I'm facing her. "Haha! Maybe next time you should let me get ready at my own pace and then-"
"Look out Y/n!"
It's too late. I bump into someone and he falls beneath me whilst I maintain my balance. I help him up and he looks flustered that I caught him off guard.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! Are you alright? I didn't mean to knock into you..."
"It's fine, I'm fine," he mumbles, but he clearly seems dazed as he rubs his head. He gulps as he notices we've ended up in the centre of the rink and tries to skate slowly to the edge but wobbles. I stand by his side and hold his arm gently.
"Hey, I got you. Jeez, was the fall that bad?"
"No, no. I... I uh, I'm actually new to ice skating, well I started ice hockey, but I'm taking extra time to practise..." he rambles on and I stare at him, trying to hide my laughter.
"I'm Y/n," I say, starting to skate and taking the boy to a seating area. I stop abruptly and he swings to the side as he tries to control himself. I hold my hand out at him and he shakes it.
"I'm Shawn," he says, smiling a little.
"Oi! Mendes!" someone shouts. Shawn turns around and I follow his gaze to a boy with ice hockey gear, except he's on the other side of the rink. He skates to a group of guys and says something to them, making them laugh loudly.
Shawn blushes and runs his hand through his soft curls. "Sorry, I better continue practising."
I nod my head and quickly whisper in his ear. "Don't let them push you around. I can teach you to skate if you want? Every Monday, after our lessons?"
He doesn't respond and just looks over at the group of guys, who are still laughing away. He looks at me with bright eyes. "Will you make me a better skater? Dad says I should ignore the other boys and practise until I'm just as good as them."
I smile at him. "Your dad said the right thing. I can teach you until become better than them!"
