Imagine:

Before I realise it, Shawn picks me up into his arms and wades through the water before landing in it. I squeal as the fresh sea water pours over my skin and Shawn splashes some water towards me. I leap onto him and he pulls us both back into the water and we play around like children amongst all the others in the sea.

"I'm gonna head back and grab a hair tie," I tell him and start to walk away.

At the last minute he takes my hand and squeezes it, wrapping his arm around me from behind and rocking us from side to side. "Don't be too long."

"I won't," I say in a teasing way. I give him a quick kiss on the lips and tousle his wet hair. He dives back into the water, splashing me along the way.

I weave inbetween families to search for our matching towels with my beach bag and Shawn's things. I walk towards the things and hear a wolf whistle behind me, making me blush and uncomfortable. I ignore the loud group of guys behind me and search for a hair band in my bag. I hear laughter and whispering, making me feel conscious about myself. A hand rests on my shoulder, and I quickly turn around to find Shawn infront of me. He clearly doesn't look impressed. I smile and kiss him softly, feeling him relax a little but he still seems a little annoyed.

"Maybe I should stay with you for a bit Y/n. How about we have something to eat?" He moves in closer and lowers his voice so only I could hear him. "Those guys are checking you out Y/n, and I don't like it. So I'm sorry if I'm being a jerk but-"

I cut in with my laughter. "Oh Shawn, don't be sorry. You know I don't care about them other guys out there. I only care about you and I only want you. No one else."

"But they all want you Y/n. I don't want my girl to be eyed on by dirty men."

I lie down on the towel and bring Shawn down with me, facing him to me. I pinch his cheek with the scar on, making him smile and flash his perfect teeth. "Don't worry Shawnie, you've got me now and you always will."

He looks at me deeply with his dark eyes. "Promise?"

I roll my eyes and giggle. "I promise you dork! I love you Shawn."

"I love you too Y/n."

We bathe in the warm sun beating down and take out some of the food Shawn had brought. He's managed to keep some chocolate coated strawberries from melting so we indulge in the sweetness before it melts in the heat. I take one and feed Shawn. He bites the end of my finger, making me giggle and I plant a kiss on his cheek.

I hear the guys behind us make sick noises, making me blush so I ignore them and help myself to an apple. As I munch, I catch Shawn glaring at one of the lads out of the corner of my eye.

"Hey, if you want, we can move elsewhere-"

Without lifting his eyes off the guy he answers me quietly. "No, it's fine. We'll stay here. I just need to show someone it's not right to eye on someone else's girl."

"Come on Shawn, you're better than that. They're just a bunch of losers."

He turns around and focuses his attention on me. "Fine, but I don't want them eyeing you up like that."

I stretch my body out across my towel and lie my head on Shawn's chest, placing my hand roughly where his heart is. I hear it beat under my hand.

"I'm gonna have a weird tan line if we stay like this in the sun," Shawn says.

I laugh and reposition myself, lying down on my belly. "Look, they've disappeared off over there now."

Shawn sits up and watches them saunter off to the sea, staring at the same blond guy from earlier as they pass.
