Imagine:

I look up and realise Shawn is standing up infront of me, offering his hand. Thank god we get the option to go to another room to kiss, otherwise I would've died. We walk to the kitchen hand in hand and leave the room as they all wolf whistle and make inappropriate noises, making me blush and my heart flutter.

"Ignore Nash and Cam."

"I do that most of the time," I say and laugh, but it comes out weak and nervous.

We both stand in the dark, and I have to say, this is the closest chance I've had to kiss Shawn, but it's awkward and uncomfortable.

As if he sensed it, he laughs. That beautiful laugh. Even his teeth manage to flash in the darkness. "We... we don't have to kiss you know, we can just stay in here for a bit and then go back."

My heart deflates. I guess he doesn't like me back. I try not to let it get to me. "Thanks Shawn."

I pull myself up on the marble counter and play with my hair, wishing I'd never joined in. Guess I'll just end up kissing Cam...

"Y/n?" A hand rests gently on my knee. Shawn stands infront of me. "Do you mind if I say something? This is gonna sound weird, but I like you – a lot. And every day when we walk together from school to now college, I've realised I've waited too long..."

"Too long?"

Shawn suddenly presses himself against me, his lips on mine all of a sudden. His lips are soft and gentle as they kiss mine, knowing he doesn't want to startle me. I part away from him, my heart thumping so loud I'm certain he can hear it.

"I-I'm sorry Y/n, I shouldn't have done that. I didn't even ask if you feel –"

Before I could stop myself, I wrap my arms around Shawn's neck and place my lips on his, kissing him slowly. I feel his lips turn into a smile as I pull away and lean my forehead against his.

"You don't have to ask," I whisper.

The kitchen light turns on all of a sudden, blinding us both. We pull away from away from each other quickly as the others pile into the kitchen, clapping and cheering.

"About time Shawn!" Nash yells.

"So that's where they snuck off to," Cam says. "Get a room next time will you Y/n?" He laughs as I roll my eyes.

Shawn offers his hand to me. "Let's go back with the others."

I sit down next to Shawn, my mind running through a thousand thoughts a second over the kiss that just happened. Did it really happen? As if to remind me, Shawn places his hand on my waist and smiles down at me. I smile back at him and wrap my arms around his neck, not wanting this night to end.
