Happiness Is Not The Heart

Happiness is not the heart

It's not at the start

Through the darkness it fears

Inside the hardness it hears

Your whispers and cries

Happiness always dies

Late at night when you're all alone

Left to die all on your own

Promises broken

Feelings broke open

Flooded over from held within

Blood flows from under the skin

Happiness is thought to be sought

Shortly to be shown for a lie you fought

Emptiness and alone, empty and on your own

Wings grew and were flown

It hurts, deep inside it goes to the depths

Harder and harder to breathe taking breaths

Beg for help, plead for comfort to save

To the dark demons of happiness a slave

Throughout the day, a smile is worn

And through the night the heart is torn

Happiness is not in your heart

It's not real, not apart

Something pretended to perceive

For those to believe and deceive

To think that you're okay, so no one bothers

Those friends that are like brothers

Happiness is not the heart

Happiness always falls apart

When solely reached and almost under

It storms with deathly thunder

Shadows cast and follow your mind

Happiness is never truly kind

For the day, it's okay

But when alone at night there's no way

Happiness falls apart and leaves you alone

Leaves you to the thieves to steal your throne

The demons, the darkness of heartless

Happiness is not the heart

It is what tears you apart

Happiness only pretends to be there for you

In the end, only one thing left true

It is not your heart

Happiness is the reason you're falling apart.
