TROUBLE MAKER'S

This chapter will be a wrap up of what will be happening during the final week of 2023.

Ben wakes up early the next day and begins to get both he and Sarah ready to move into the hotel.  Leo and Camille are also up and are having breakfast as he comes downstairs.  Ben is surprised to see them up so early, but decides to have breakfast with them and Sarah.  At breakfast Ben informs them he will be taking Sarah to stay with a friend while he is at work.  Leo and Camille insist's that they wouldn't mind keeping her, but Ben refuses.  While at breakfast Sarah almost let it slip that she will be spending the day with her Aunt Betty, while Ben is at work.  Leo and Camille are both upset that Ben won't let them take care of Sarah even for the day.  So while Sarah is in the bathroom they both ask him why he doesn't want them to watch her.

Ben: Because I think it would be safer for Sarah that way.

Leo: Safer, how would it be safer.  Ben we would never let anyone harm Sarah.

Ben: I'm not talking about her being harmed by someone else....

Camille: Ben, do you...  Do you think we would hurt Sarah?

Ben: Well both of you have shown me that you can be violent.

Leo: Ben, don't you dare act like that.(angry for his insinuation)  

Ben: I'm not acting.  (completely serious)  You both put hands on me a while ago.  I can't take the risk you would do the same to her.

Camille: Ben you yourself said you forgave me for that.  I would have never hit you if you wouldn't have made me so angry for what you said about me and Leo.

Ben: I did forgive you, and I completely understood why you did it.  But it doesn't change the fact that you did hit me.  What I said was unforgivable, and I deserved that and worse from you Camille.

Camille: Then why don't you trust me alone with Sarah?

Ben: Because I wonder what you would do if Sarah said something to you that you didn't like would you do the same to her?

Camille: Ben I am not an abusive person, and I would never harm a child.  Amy, Ricky, Henry, Alice, even Omar and Adrian let us keep their children sometimes.

Ben: Well that is nice, of you but that is their children.  Like me and them we are different, and I learned a long time ago I'm governed by a different set of rules.  I think those same rules apply , to our children  since Sarah is my child.  I don't trust you to keep her.

Leo: This isn't about Camille hitting you is it?  This is you getting back at me for hitting you when you left isn't it?

Ben: I'm not going to lie, yes and no.  You proved to me just like Camille you can be abusive too, but this isn't about me getting back at you.  This is about me protecting my daughter, that's all.  It has nothing to do with our past exactly.

Camille: Ben that's a lie.

Ben: Camille, Dad.  You both proved that when someone get's you angry you can get physical.  I admit I deserved it, but if you to had a child, and I had hit you would you want me around your children?....

Camille: (hesitant about responding) Ben that's not the same thing.

Ben: Actually it is, now answer the question Camille.  

Camille: No.

Leo: (shocked) Camille.

Camille:  Leo, we both no neither of us would want that.
