As the first day of 2023 continued Camille got ready as Leo began to get things ready for the annual New Years Cook Out he threw for the past six years.  He was hoping this year Ben would finally be in attendance, and even though he was told not too, he invited Zoey anyway.  As he is doing this Camille arrives at the hotel where Ben is staying to invite he, Sarah, and his brother's to the event. as she knocks She is surprised to see Sarah opening the door.

Sarah: Hi Mrs. B. (uses sign as she does at home)

Camille: Hello Sarah, is your daddy in.

Sarah: Unha, he looks pretty today.

Camille: What do you mean?

Ben: Oh, I think she means this.  (comes into the room cleanly shaven which shocks Camille, as he now looks almost exactly like he did the last day she saw him only more built, but not much)

Camille: Ben..... You look so much younger.

Ben: Thanks, but this is only temporary until I get back home.

Camille: Oh, well either way I was kind starting to get used to your beard.

Ben: Is there something I can help you with?

Camille: Yes, your father and I are having our annual cook out, and were wondering if you, Sarah, and your friends.., I mean your brother's would like to attend?

Ben: Well, it's getting kind of cool outside, and I think it would be better if Sarah, and I stayed here. But Vincent and 3-Jay are already going.

Camille: Really....

Ben: Yes, they are both plus one's.

Camille: Oh that's right they are dating Lauren, and Clementine aren't they.  But, it would be nice if you both would come too.

Sarah: (uses sign not words) Please, Daddy.

Ben: (also uses sign which makes Camille feel awkward with a conversation being held in front of her, and she didn't understand)  I don't know baby, I am still kind of tired from the party last night.  I was hoping we could stay in, call home, and watch a movie.

Sarah:  But daddy I want to see Mr. B., Aunt Chloe, and the other kids.  Pleaeeese.  

Ben:  (swayed by her pleading, and it was not wise to keep a young child locked in a room for so long)  Okay, we'll go....  Alright Camille it looks like we're coming.

Camille: Thank you Ben, and thank you too Sarah (says thank you in sign).

Ben: You know sign language Camille?

Camille: No, I've been studying up on it.  

Ben: Well it is hard at first, but it can come naturally sometimes.  

Camille: Well hopefully I can learn even if it does take a while, but we will start at 2:30 can you be there?

Ben: Yeah, we can make it.

As Camille is ready to leave 3-Jay, and Vincent both run into her in the door way after both were out all night with Clementine & Lauren.

Camille: Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know you two were out here.

Vincent: That's okay, we didn't know you were in there.

Camille: Well I guess I will see all of you later, goodbye all of you until 2:30, and Happy New Year.
