"So you are saying me that you got attacked by few students who bullied Liam once" the inspector asked Zayn who was sitting in front of him.
"Yeah! I once helped Liam when he was locked in a locker room by those boys. And in the recent boxing matches they lost to me so I guess that's why they ganged up on me and that night I was pretty drunk so I got beaten up!" Zayn explained
"So this is how you got this bandage of yours?" The inspector asked pointing at Zayn's forehead.
"Yeah" Zayn gently nodded
"Who did your dressing like in which hospi-"
"I did! I stay with Zayn... I am a medical student" Niall interrupted.
"Okay so Mr. Malik last time you saw him in the boxing ring. Then you went to a bar and on your way back home you got beaten up that's why you didn't show up on the last day of festival" inspector asked
"Yeah" Zayn nodded
"So what were you doing at home that day? I mean you could've have at least attended the award ceremony" inspector asked
Zayn went out of words. His eyes widened a little, he was searching for a lie when Niall spoke up "he was with me! I took a day off from my training. If you want to verify you can call my hospital. I even asked my senior to give an advice on Zayn's condition and he said that it will be better if Zayn don't travel and rest his day in bed" Niall said confidently.
"Okay! So you work in- which hospital?" Inspector asked
"Layla hospital" Niall replied quickly
"So Zayn when you were beaten up so badly I am sure in that condition you won't be able to walk home yourself... then who helped you?" Inspector asked facing Zayn
"Actually I don't remember that guy's face but someone came to rescue me and beat the guys for me so I wasn't that weak to not walk" Zayn said
"So you went home by yourself?" Inspector asked
"I don't remember sir. I recall a guy in front of me beating the boys but the next thing I remember is waking up in my bed. I was pretty high" Zayn said nervously
"Actually I was the one to bring him back home." Niall said and Zayn widened his eyes at his. He gave Niall a death glare for shifting the topic on him.
"What? Why were you there?" Inspector asked
"Well Zaynie was late so I went out to search him. Due to rain even I couldn't see the man myself but I saw Zaynie passed out on the floor so I took him home for immediate first aid. He was serious!" Niall said in an intense Irish voice.
"Zayn can you give the name of the students who beat you for helping Liam!"
"Yeah!!" Zayn nodded and started writing the names of the boys who bullied Liam one's.
"So Mr. Horan on which street did the fight took place. As Zayn don't remember anything I hope you do" on hearing the inspector Zayn's stopped writing, his hands were frozen in nervousness. His heart started picking up speed and cold sweat drops formed at his forehead.
"Street no.9, lane no.2, in front of the Brasserie restaurant" Niall said without a break in his voice which left Zaynie in wonder.
"Thanks for the information boys. If we need any help we will call again" inspector smiled and offered his hand to Zayn
"Your hands are cold! You okay?" The inspector asked as Zayn's fingertips froze in tension.
"He haven't recovered completely yet. Maybe the sudden change in environment is causing cell hormones to react causing cold sweat and froze fingertips. side effect of mild fever." Niall said looking at Zayn as if he is examining him.
