6 months old and still not knowing who the father is . We are going to have the pre birth test today and I can't say how much anxiety I have
The feeling that I have been betrayed is still on me . I talked to my parents about what has happened . They of course they said to get rid of the baby before it's too late and break up with Lydia as even if the baby is mine , it won't be the same between us
On the other hand , Nash and Ed are cool with it . I mean , not cool with the fact that Lydia had been cheating on me but with the fact that I care about the baby . Even if it isn't mine
I park outside the building and Lydia gets out of the car first . I take my phone and then get out of the car and start walking inside the building
"Will it hurt?" Lydia asks
"I don't know " I say walking to the front desk ms giving our names and the appointment's time
The office lady gives us the directions how to get to the special room . I thank her and motion Lydia to follow me
"Where did you find the money?" She asks me . She probably saw me giving the lady sitting on the front desk the payment for the test
"Somewhere" I answer , trying to find the right room
"Shawn , they could be like 1000$ in there. How did you get all that money?"
"2000$ specifically. I borrowed from Nash and Ed " I answer
"Shawn I don't like spending money on me" she says , like I'm doing it cause I want to spoil her.
"I'm not spending on you. I'm not even spending money . I'm giving money for something that I want . And I want to find out if the baby is mine or not "
"What are gonna do if it isn't?" She asks me
"I'm not gonna do anything . You just have to go talk with the baby's father. And clear thing up . I don't any responsibility to keep your daughter safe. If it is mine , then I will continue keeping up with you . Then , you will write the rest of the story" I say as we reach the room that we need to enter
We knock on the door , and a doctor opens the door . He smiles at us and let's us in . Like it is his house
"Sit" he says to Lydia and I go and sit on the corner of the room. "I got the details from the reception. Mendes right?" The doctor asks , wearing his gloves
"Yeah. When will we have the results?" I ask him , taking of my jacket
"The procedure is about 45 minutes .it's pretty simple. We gonna do a visual appearance of the baby and then the computer will start to separate the details of the baby's DNA. But we want a DNA sample like a hairs from you Mr.Mendes " the doctors says , coming to me with a small bag . He cuts off with a scissors a few hairs from my head and then put them into a machinery
"And the results?" Lydia asks him , as the doctor applies her a jel on her stomach and puts a small machinery above her stomach
"45 minutes the procedure and 3 hours for the results to come out. Something than less 4 hours" the doctor says and Lydia nods
The doctor turns the machineries on and the procedure starts . My hands are sweaty and my heart beat can be heard until the other side of the town
The baby's head starts to appear on the monitor and it looks like an alien's head . Numbers start appear on the screen too that I can understand. Not so well , but I can get them . It's the DNA numbers and the information it uses
"Mr. Mendes can I talk to you?" The doctor says and I nod , getting up from my seat and follow him outside "we will be back in a few okay?" The doctor says to Lydia and she nods , watching at the screen , tha baby's body appear
